The BRFSS is the world’s largest continuously conducted telephone survey.

It covers issues surrounding chronic illness, premature mortality, and other health-related topics.

All 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam, and Washington D.C. participate.

Clay County participated in county level BRFSS studies sponsored by Hometown Health.

Interviews were conducted in June and July of 2005.

A telephone survey of 435 randomly selected adults from Clay County and Randolph County.

Of the 435 interviews, 159 were with men and 276 were with women.
