Plan to join the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel at the 2016 Winter Meeting in San Diego, California from February 28 – March 4 for cutting-edge CLE programming.
A forward-looking series of topics with the theme, “Waves of Change, Oceans of Opportunity,” will be presented. Plenary Sessions include:
• “Fantastic Voyage”: The New Biotech/Human Interface and Resulting Legal Challenges• “What I Learned at the Movies about Ethics and Professionalism” • Trial Masters -“Avoid a Shipwreck” and “Anatomy of the Defense of a Catastrophic Case – Lessons Learned”• “Aurora!”• NED Talks: Featured will be four of our own members plus Rear Admiral Ray Smith, USN (Ret.) presenting short and powerful heart-felt talks on determination, balance, integrity, hope, and fear common to all lawyers, common to life. • “Wisdom in a Bottle”: Learn from 15 of our Past Presidents who will share in short powerful bursts what they wish they had known when they joined the Federation, that they know now—vintage wisdom from our past leaders. • Surprise Opening Keynote Speaker • Closing Keynote Speaker Michael Rogers: The Practical Futurist
Section meetings will run Tuesday through Thursday, starting at 8:00 am and ending at 9:00 am. Pick your area of interest and attend one each day. Our Section Chairs and Vice Chairs have worked hard to provide insightful and relevant presentations. There will also be 30 minutes of networking time between the Section meetings and the beginning of the plenary sessions.
Remember, we are navigating waves of change in this ocean of opportunity. So sharpen your saw, shiver your timbers, and learn something new!
