CLEANING THE INTERIOR WHIRLPOOL PLUMBING SYSTEM: MTI FILL-FLUSH SYSTEM INSTRUCTIONS The Fill-Flush System assures the guest of a safe, clean whirlpool bath while conserving significant amounts of time and water. The tub fills with fresh tap water through the jets rather than through a traditional spout, thus partially flushing out the system with every fill. To clean the plumbing system: 1. Close the jets by either pushing them or twisting them into the closed position. (For newer models, twist clockwise to open and counterclockwise to close. For older models, push jets to close and pull jets to open.) 2. Unscrew and open dispenser cap located on the deck of the tub (usually between the handles). Pour detergent into the dispenser. Recommended detergents: 1 cup of Ecolab Oasis 299 OR 1 cup vinegar OR 1 oz MTI Fill-Flush detergent. MUST BE LOW SUDSING 3. Replace cap and tighten to closed position. 4. Turn on the hot and cold handles and let water run for 2-3 minutes. Water and detergent are trapped inside and are routed throughout the entire system including the water lines, the air lines, the pump, suction line and the jet eyeballs. 5. Open all jets and the process is complete. 6. Turn off the water. This process should be implemented after each guest checks out in order to maintain a clean bathing environment.
