The only acrylic engineered to meet ASTM and NHL regulations, RinkShield sheet holds up to puck and player impacts, provides greater flexibility than tempered glass, clearer viewing for fans and easier, quicker changeover operations for facilities.
RinkShield sheet outperforms NHL deflection benchmarks for spectator shielding. A three-fold reduction in reaction forces over tempered glass significantly reduces the effect of impact on players and the possibility of injury. This is just one reason why arenas are making the switch from seamless glass to acrylic shielding systems.
Another reason is easy facility changeovers. Weighing 100 lbs. less per pane than glass, RinkShield sheet is easier to handle and fabricate. Facility personnel can customize acrylic shielding on-site for camera portals and rink entrance gates allowing the arena to cut down on the amount of replacement stock they maintain.

Clear Cast Acrylic Rod & TubeCast acrylic rod is regarded for its excellent optical clarity, high tensile strength, and outstanding light transmission. It is easily fabricated, shatter resistant and very durable. Acrylic rod replaces extruded or molded acrylic because of better machining properties, greater clarity, better resistance to heat distortion and higher tensile strength. It is unaffected by sunlight and fluorescent light. Cast acrylic resists aging and maintains stability under a wide range of conditions. It has up to seventeen times greater impact resistance than glass while weighing half as much. EX-CEL® FF is a free foamed PVC sheet with a matte finish. Available in 13 standard colors, in high and low densities.
EX-CEL® PRO is a free foamed PVC sheets made specifically for digital printing applications. Supplied either one side or two sides masked to protect the surface from contaminants.
EX-CEL® IF Integral Foamed PVC SheetCeluka process foamed PVC sheets with a smooth, gloss finish. Excellent for outdoor applications.
Ex-Cel® sheets come in a variety of colors and offer you a choice between a lower, .60 density sheet and a regular, or .70 density sheet. The lower the density the less expensive the sheet is, but thicker gauges have more impact resistance. Ex-Cel® can be painted with PVC compatible paints, glued, nailed, screwed and printed. Ex-Cel® is easily machined and fabricated.

KOMATEX Foamed PVC SheetKOMATEX is a lightweight closed-cell, free foam, rigid PVC sheet. It is homogeneously colored with a matte finish that is tough and versatile enough for many of today’s applications. KOMATEX is available in 12 standard vibrant colors, plus black and white, and a variety of thicknesses and sizes to fit most uses. The matte surface is the perfect substrate for screen printing, painting, laminating, vinyl lettering and forming projects. KOMATEX can be sawed, drilled, bent and fabricated using ordinary (plastic) tools and fasteners. KOMATEX is manufactured to be used for interior and limited exterior applications. Custom sizes and colors can be produced with a small minimum requirement.
KOMATEX sheets are not harmful to human health or the environment in their manufacture, application and disposal. KOMATEX is free of lead, cadmium and barium and complies with national and international regulations protecting health and the environment.
