Harvey Ruvin was running for re-election on the November 2008 ballot, but his campaign check to qualify for the election was written to the wrong agency of the Government and meant he should have never been allowed on the ballot for the election of 2008.An anonymous worker for the elections department alerted his opposition music executive Darrin McGillis of the error of allowing Harvey Ruvin on the ballot when he did not qualify for the election in accordance to County charter and State law. The attached letter shows the facts as presented to Mr. McGillis in September of 2008 with copies of the check and financial report of Harvey Ruvin.
