- CNRS is huge organisation covering all fundamental research fields, from biology to philosophy.

- CEA is a nuclear agency, with high knowledge in technology transfer and industry partnership

• IN2P3 – National mission for CNRS + universities in nuclear and particle physics– 20 laboratories in 15 different universities– 1000 permanent scientists (1/2 CNRS, 1/2 universities), 1500

technicians and engineers + 300 non permanent = 2800

• DAPNIA– Particle, nuclear and astrophysics– 1 lab, at Saclay (near Paris)– 630 permanent + 150 non permanent = 780
