Client: Best BuyProject: Branding, logo/package design and style guide for Best Buy private label product line
Best Buy speculated that it could increase sales of its notebook peripherals by creating a bundled package that provided the first time buyer everything they needed. Best Buy’s first product grouping, “Notebook Essentials”, included a 4-port hub, wireless mouse, networking cables, as well as a surge protector. They needed a package that was not simply an enclosure for these items, but also a sales tool for their store personnel. I was able to create a prototype package that provided clear identification of all four items. Stand-up or peg hook design that doubled as a built-in handle made for a unique and attractive package. A smaller more compact version with the new brand eventually replaced the original design.
