Students will be able to explain the geothermal heat pump concept and explore the various different loop types in conjunction with hybrid geothermal systems. Students will review actual geothermal installations to gain an understanding of the advantages when using geothermal water source heat pumps.

In this course we will explore a hybrid geothermal system as a means to reduce the initial expense of the system and still offer the efficiency and annual savings of a geothermal system.
