UT Southwestern s Center for Depression Research and Clinical Care Clinical Research Experiences in De- pression Internship Program (CRED) is committed to educating students to be tomorrow s leaders in Clini- cal and Translational Depression Research and Mental Health! The Center for Depression Research and Clinical Care (CDRC) at UT Southwestern is an internaonally recognized Center leading the way in research and new treatments for depression. Our internship program offers a variety of learning opportunies, including: Essenals of clinical and translaonal research in depression Research protocol design/development Study implementaon Interpretaon of research study results Manuscript preparaon Assessment tools for psychiatric diagnosis and symptom measurement Current and potenal treatment approaches Approaches to increase screening and treatment of depression Novel research to increase our understanding of depression and its treatment Interns will receive lectures from CDRC faculty and hands-on experience in different aspects of clinical and translaonal research. Interns will be expected to work on a mentored project that results in presentaon at the end of the internship. E l i g i b i l i t y High school Students:

□ Minimum age of 16 and at least Junior or Senior level student

□ Minimum GPA of 3.0

□ Must be able to receive course credit from your school. Please speak with your advisors to see if you qualify.

□ Proof of Health Insurance

For Undergraduate/Graduate Students:

□ Minimum age of 16

□ Psychology, Neuroscience, or Related Majors

□ Completion of Abnormal Psychology or equivalent and 2 semester commitment

P r o g r a m S t r u c t u r e Summer Program: 8 week Internship program, 20 hours per week Academic Year Program: September—May, 8-20 hours per week To receive credit, you must be available for the duration of the program.
