    FIVE MENS WEAR BRANDS

    Over the years I have been exposed to the most innovative designs and merchandising techniques

    from visiting the various trade shows. I have seen some amazing ideas, but you always have to

    assess their practicality and workability in your own store environment. From the start of the

    project I knew the image I wanted this store to portray. I wanted a spacious, smart, superstore,

    with cream porcelain tiles, deep pile carpets and a fresh bright ambience which exudes classical

    luxury. I feel we have achieved this.

    Gerard Anthony was first established in June 1987 in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim. Since

    autumn 2007, this menswear superstore is located in The Mulvey Centre, just outside the town

    by the N4. It has an area of 6,400 sq ft and it holds up to 1,500 parking spaces. With a mixture of

    street, casual and formal styles, the wide range of top quality brands is directed to a middle-upper

    market aged 8 years and upwards. In the early 1980s, the other option for Fitzgerald was

    immigration (like most of the young people at the time). After four years of business, he

    relocated his store to Carrick on Shannon and has never looked back since. After a few attempts

    to increase the store size and maximise the stock, Gerard ultimately ran out of space and could

    not develop the business any further. Gerard Anthony Superstore opened in November 2007 after

    a huge amount of thought and effort put into its innovative design and general feel. Spacious and

    full of light, the store is displayed in two levels and three distinct areas - urban, classic and

    formal. While primarily catering for the younger customer in the early days and as that customer

    aged so too did the product style range. Gerard Anthony superstore is testament to the hard work,

    dedication and good business know how displayed by Fitzgerald and his team over two decadesin the business.

    Alexander McQueen was born in London on March 17th 1969, the youngest of six children. He

    left school at the age of 16 and was offered an apprenticeship at the traditional Savile Row tailors

    Anderson and Shephard and then at neighbouring Gieves and Hawkes, both masters in the

    technical construction of clothing. Alexander's collections combine an in-depth working

    knowledge of bespoke British tailoring, the fine workmanship of the French Haute Couture

    atelier and the impeccable finish of Italian manufacturing. By the end of 2007, Alexander

    McQueen had boutiques in London, New York, Los Angeles, Milan and Las Vegas. Celebrity

    patrons, including Nicole Kidman, Penlope Cruzand Rihanna, have frequently been spotted

    wearing Alexander McQueen clothing to events. Bjork and Lady Gaga have often incorporated

    Alexander McQueen pieces in their music videos. The brand also confirmed in a statement today

    that the autumn/winter 2010-11 collection will be presented in Paris on March 9 and 10 as a

    private salon presentation to be attended by invitation only. Just as Valentinos white collection

    in the 1960s, McQueen shocked the fashion world with 10,000 volts of creativity. Visions of

    enormous aerodynamic wings, garbage bag hats were among his many eccentric designs

    Gucci Group this morning confirmed its commitment to continue with the Alexander McQueen

    brand following the tragic death of its founder. Gucci Group CEO Robert Polet believes the

    Alexander McQueen brand has a strong future. The Group is providing all logistical, financial

    and human support to the Alexander McQueen team and working hard to continue the brands

    growth.In this perspective the brand will present its collection during Paris fashion week and

    plans will be realised by the Alexander McQueen team shortly.

    ZodiacClothingCompany

    The Zodiac story began way back in 1954 when M.Y. Noorani started a trading company. One of

    the first orders that he received was for fabric for an Indian company. When the fabric arrived in

    India, the buyer cancelled the order and Noorani was faced with a choice whether to abandon the

    consignment, thereby losing the entire amount paid for the fabric, or to pay import duty and take

    delivery of the consignment. He chose to pay the import duty and take delivery of the

    consignment himself, which he converted into Neckties. Thus began, Zodiac's legendary Tie

    business. The Ties became so successful, that soon there was a need to brand the Ties. Noorani

    did well in exports as well and soon established business in Europe for premium quality ties and

    shirts. At home the Zodiac name became a synonym for ties and soon the company entered the

    arena of men's accessories with Cuff links, Belts, Wallets and Handkerchiefs.

    Zodiac entered the domestic shirt segment in the late '60s and it was only recently that it added a

    premium range of trousers to its array of products. In 2002 Zodiac successfully launched a

    trendy, casual wear brand ZOD! creating a special Club Wear segment for the Indian male.

    With 12 Branches in India and about 3500 people employed, the House ofZodiac is one of the

    few apparel majors that controls entire operations from Design to the Shelf a seamless

    organization between in-house Design, Development, Manufacturing, Distribution, Marketing &

    Retail. Zodiac is the first woven garments company in the world to get the SAA 8000, only the

    second company in India across categories to get this in India, ITC Tobacco Division being the

    first one.

    BIBA, in punjabi means a young, pretty girl or an endearment. Founded in 1988, BIBA was the

    brainchild of fashion visionary Meena Bindra, who also leads our design team to spin out

    collections of ready-to-wear Ethnic Ensembles (salwar-kameez-dupatta), a huge collection

    of Mix n Match or separates and the striking B COZ range (Western wear), as well as new

    value brands like Meena Bindra and ADI Collections showcasing unstitched fabric lengths. The

    house has also ventured into movie merchandising in 2002. BIBA specialises in Ethnic garments

    with a modern and contemporary look we keep changing our designs with the trends retaining

    our roots which are steeped in Indian Traditional crafts like Hand Block printing with vegetable

    dyes, exquisite hand embroideries and many more with the use of pure fabrics like silks,

    chiffons, georgettes etc in vibrant-to-soothing shades. The accent here is on fashionable yet

    affordable designer clothing ranging from medium-to-plus sizes which has won a large & loyal

    client base. Sanjay Bindra, Director, has pioneered popular retail initiatives like the SKD

    (salwar-kameez-dupatta) exchange programme, Bollywood merchandising and the movie

    gallery. Siddharath Bindra, Director, has created a fertile base for his decade long experience in

    the textile and apparel industry, which have enabled him to provide strategic direction to the

    brand. Crafting Fashion History Today, BIBA is recognised as the only national brand for

    womens ethnic wear available in over 100 retail outlets across 25 cities including 35 stand-

    Mango is a transnational Spanish clothing company based in Barcelona. It has more than 1,000

    stores in 92 countries located on five continents (130 points of sale having been added in 2006).

    Beyond Europe, expansion has gone as far as Egypt, Israel, Jordan, China, Japan, Iraq, Republic

    of Korea and Thailand. (Mango also exists in Australia, but is under separate ownership in that

    country). The company has announced plans to open a store in Iraq, to feature clothing designed

    by Zuhair Murad, a Lebanese designer who has collaborated with the retailer since 2006 . In

    April 2007, it was announced that Penelope Cruz and her sister Monica would be designing a 25-

    piece collection for the chain to include accessories [2]. The move is seen as a competitive

    counterpoint to the release of Madonna's collection for Swedish rival H&M and Kate Moss's

    collection for Topshop. In 2009 Scarlett Johansson became the new face of Mango, taking the

    place of herVicky Cristina Barcelona co-star Penelope Cruz. To complete the collection there

    are beautifully tailored coats and jackets in warm colours. Overall there is a definite 1980s

    distinction to the complete collection while maintaining that Mango Clothing quality and appeal.

    The Mango official website has striking images of New Face Scarlett Johansson in many pieces

    which emulate the rock chick such as dresses, biker jackets, leggings and stylish tops to

    accentuate her stunning figure. Animal prints dominate these pieces and complement the overall

    style of this collection.

    Neerus is a treasure house of Fashion (Indian traditional for women), for the latest and the best

    salwar kameez collections. Reaching out to a wide age group of women from sixteen to sixties,

    this brand showcases exquisite bridal finery, formals, office outfits, daily cottons and much

    more. Neerus came into own in the year 1971, with tailoring and embroidery of superior &

    intricate designs. In 1979, it established one of Indias first retail outlets that was exclusively

    devoted to one of the most popular & finest ladies dress wear, Salwar Kameez. In 1983, Neerus

    clothing that was comparable in quality to the couture brands but was affordable to the average
