Amoreambitiousandinnovativeattemptwastodevelop2picturechartsillustratedinWarlistyle,depictingsceneswithinandoutsideatypical‘padha’(hamlet),incorporatingwordsfamiliartoWarlichildren.Interestingly,trialingrevealedthatWarlichildrencorrectlyidentifiedeachoftheimages,whileotherruralchildrenonlyafew.ForeachDevanagiriletter,childrencouldsearchfor3-4picturesofwordsbeginningwiththeparticularsoundintheirdialect.ThoughWarliartispopularonclothing,lampshades,murals,etc..theideatouseitintheeducationoftheirownchildrenhasbeenexploitedonlybyCLR.

CLRundertookfieldworkinThaneDistricttocollecttraditionalWarlipoemsandsongs,andsomecomposedbyteachersfromtheWarlicommunity.Abookletentitled‘AkhadTeAkhad’(‘MonsoontoMonsoon‘)wasthendesigned,illustratedbyartistsfromthecommunity.Sincethesesongsweresungseasonallyinthecommunity,CLRsequencedthecontentaccordingtotheagriculturalseasonsthatarecentraltotheeconomicandculturallifeoftheWarlis.Itservedasaresourceforteachers,andwasalsousedbyadultneo-literates.
