Muslim Student Association (MSA)

The purpose of this club shall be to give everyone a chance to communicate and hopefully create a safe environment for students who also combat religious persecution.  

ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT CLUBS

The purpose of this club shall be to learn how to code regardless of experience, create computer programs and software applications, compete and collaborate in competitions, and explore the possibilities of coding.

The purpose of this club shall be to learn about principles about debate and to participate in Public Forum debate competitions under the Urban Debate League. The tournaments will be monthly and will cover a variety of topics. Debate Team will also most likely work with the Black Student Union in order to create event(s) that would promote political discourse amongst the student body. 

Investment Club Mr. Selter

The purpose of this club shall be to expand students' knowledge on how economics and financial principles work. This is important because these things play important roles in everyone's lives. So it is mainly about intellectualism, but also exploration because it's exploring important aspects of adulthood as we are getting ever so close to it.

Literary Magazine Club

Ms. Swann-Pye Madison Loughlin, Salomé Noufele Tues AM

The purpose of NEST+m’s Literary Magazine club is to publish students’ short stories, poetry, analytical pieces, and artwork in a periodical. Student compositions are self-submitted and are selected by the creative Literary Magazine staff using a process of grading and discussion. Afterward, the literary magazine staff collaborates to visually and thematically organize the accepted submissions, which include Scholastic and Ray Bradbury competition winners, into a coherent magazine. The primary role of the literary magazine staff is to utilize Adobe InDesign, a desktop typesetting software, to organize students’ submissions into artistic templates for publishing, incorporate a dynamic and original design into the

layout, and ensure that Epoch successfully captures and evokes emotion in its readers.

The purpose of this club shall be to encourage kids to learn math, teach new, different types of math, and participate in math competitions.

Model UN Mr. Curry-Patel

Model UN is a community of students who come together representing different people/countries to solve worldwide issues. This club will teach students how to develop better public speaking skills and form cohesive and persuasive arguments to solve worldwide issues.

Next Generation Politics (NEST+m Chapter) Mr. C. Wells

The purpose of this club shall be to provide an interactive, cross-partisan civics education workshop series that brings 85 socioeconomically, racially, and politically diverse teens together from across 12 schools, half public, half private, to grapple with complex civic issues and current events, working to conceptualize more inclusive and effective civic solutions.

The purpose of this club shall be to incorporate exploration using research, and collaboration with teamwork. We plan to enter robotics tournaments (robot fighting, etc.) The purpose of this club shall be to further educate individuals about stem. This will be done mainly through the use of robotics and well planned research projects thus, help improve our intellectualism. We will explore various aspects of stem together, to complete such projects, which will develop our collaboration skills and provide us with an opportunity for exploration. We also plan to attend various stem competitions and create intricately designed robots that can benefit those around us.

We would like to create a safe space where artists can come together and express themselves creatively, regardless of experience. We will explore and learn about new art forms through research, but also through collaboration with the other students.

The purpose of this club shall be to teach and allow students to participate and have fun learning Kpop and other dances. They will bond through fun activities and learning opportunities, and form a strong community in doing so. We will come together to create fun and unique performances, and give an opportunity for students to be active physically and within the school’s arts community!

The purpose of this club shall be to explore the increasingly powerful and popular medium of film in order for students to express themselves and create content they are passionate about. Completing any film requires a lot of collaboration and team-work, so the Film Club has not only become a place to simply create films, but it has also created a strong community

The purpose of this club shall be to study and perform improvisational comedy, standup, and sketch writing.

The goal of Key Club is to not only to help the NEST+m community through community service but to build character and develop leadership skills. Key Club also provides members with the opportunity to connect/collaborate with Key Clubbers from all over the city through events and fundraisers.

The purpose of this club shall be to celebrate nature through outdoor activities, maximizing sustainability in our school, and awareness of the impact our actions have on the environment.

The purpose of this club shall be to get as many people as possible to find out their passions and what they really care about and act on it. Through this they are able to be more self driven and determined individuals as they learn that they can make a difference. Also when they are doing community service for things that they want to help and make a difference, they are more likely to do more of it and enjoy it

The purpose of this club shall be to introduce and teach badminton to interested high schoolers so that they can get away from the stresses from school for a little bit. In addition to providing a welcoming space to players, we also hope to turn this into an official PSAL Nest+m team so that we can improve and take our badminton skills to the next level. 

Blog & Podcast Club

Put out a forum or a place where students 9-12 grade can converse online and ask questions etc. They can also hear podcasts that have discussions from students about different topics. We also put up news or updates of the clubs or the school on that website.

The purpose of this club will be to boost the spirit in the NEST+m community. Cheer Team seeks to provide a fun environment to learn moves, support sports teams, and build connections. We want to have the NEST community collaborate to show love for our school, and promote inclusivity by banding together as a school.

The goal of the club is to give people with the shared hobby of skateboarding a place to bond, make new friends, and build off of each others skills. We welcome all skill levels, even if you know nothing.
