In Blu Bistro news we are proud to unveil our new A la Carte menu. The Chefs have really pulled out all the stops in creating an enticing new menu. As well as our classic favourites we also have some exciting new dishes plus the inclusion of vegetarian & gluten free options. We hope that you enjoy the new selection and we look forward to hearing your feedback.

The specials just get better and better at the bistro and July & August is no exception. The popular $10 Super Six menu has had a few updates and the weeknight specials have some great new flavours for you to enjoy (see page 9 & 10 for more details). On Sunday nights with anyA la Carte main meal purchase you get one kids meal free! So there is no excuse not to give Mum the night off.

We continue to have fun in the gaming room with our High Stakes promotion. With three winners every Sunday and the chance to spin the roulette wheel I don’t doubt that this will be another fun and interactive promotion that our members will enjoy.

We are coming up to a very exciting period for bowls here at Club Helensvale. During June we were lucky enough to host knock out and sectional stages of the Australian Open, the biggest bowls competition in the southern hemisphere. Coming up in September is our annual $60,000 National 5 a Side competition where top Australian & international bowlers will compete for an impressive prize pool. Plus, in November the Gold Coast Hawks will compete in the FOX Sports televised APL03 & we will be hosting the 2015 World Singles Champion of Champions event. There is going to be some fantastic bowls on display in the coming months and I encourage all our members to get involved and support our competitors.

On recent visits you may have noticed our new shop located at reception. This shop sells bowls merchandise, snacks and takeaway alcohol. I’m sure you will find the prices competitive so if you haven’t yet, make sure you take a look on your next visit.
