Our Focus Value ”RESPECT”

Safety First To ensure our students, staff and school community are safe and understand procedures to keep them safe, we will be running a ‘Lockdown’ drill on Friday 7th February and an ‘Evacuation’ drill on Wednesday 12th February. Teachers will discuss the procedures and allay any fears prior to the actual drill. Evacuation and Lockdown drills occur throughout the year and ensure everyone knows how to respond to different situations calmly and safely. This will be a great opportunity for you to discuss anything you may do away from school to keep your family safe. Student Information required Last week, returning students would have received a copy of the details which we have on record for them. Please take the time to check all the information and make any corrections in red before returning the form to school. If no corrections are required, could you please sign the paperwork and return it to school.

Scripture/Ethics/Non – Please indicate your choice in the boxes provided. Health Care Plans / Medication – Health Care Plans for this year are required as a matter of priority. Also, please supply the office any medication your child requires. Music tuition It was great to hear singing and music in the air on

Guitar and drum tuition with Daniel Cameron will commence tomorrow. Lessons are $100 per term payable in advance. At this stage I have 3 students registered for guitar [Seth, Olivia, Royce] and 3 students for drum [Zeke, Zenny, Jimmy]. If your child is resuming lessons or interested in starting lessons with Daniel, please make sure you contact the office first thing tomorrow morning so that I can let him know.

Clunes OSHC At Clunes OSHC this week we have been easing back into the routines of after school care. The children have been very excited to share their holiday stories with everyone, so we have been having a small group time together at the start of the afternoon to hear all the amazing things they have done over the holidays. This allows us to rest and recharge before getting into the afternoon’s activities and an opportunity to meet or new “Cooshun” (Children who come to Clunes OSHC). We have tried our hand at oil pastels this week, learning how to blend colours and create shading. The children created some beautiful pictures using the pastel as the background and charcoal as the foreground image. Nerf has also been very popular this week with the added donations from Berni. The children have enjoyed testing their skills using the darts to knock down targets. The game has been teaching children about fairness and accuracy, teaching them to take turns and set the targets up for each other and watching targets with both eyes and changing angles to hit the target. We still have spaces for afterschool care. If you would like your children to attend after school care please call or text us on 0437 362 834 or email us [email protected].
