Overthepastdecadeandahalftheworldhasbeenchangingrapidly.Feministstruggle,oncethedomainofgroupsofavant-gardeindependentwomenactivists,hasbecomewellandtrulypop!Musicians,actors,corporateleaders,socialmediainfluencers,menandtranspeople-everyonehasjumpedinthepoolandisswimminginfeministglitter!

Butunlikethoseearlydays,it’snotjustHollywood.ThebalanceofpowerintheworldhasshiftedSouthandEast,andmoreandmorelocal.Peopleareorganisingwheretheyare,raisingfundsamongstthemselves,makingandsellingtheirownculturallyappropriateproducts,andconnectingtothe

vibrantcelebrityactivistscene.Sometimesthesecampaignsjustlast6weeks.Peopleareoverloadedandoverconnected-butthereissomuchworktodo!

Somepeoplestillhaveaglobaloutlook.RichkidsinGhana,thePhilippinesandIndiaareinvestinginworkthatdoesgood.Governmentshavepulledbacktheiroverseasdevelopmentassistance,thoughtheystillfundhereandthere.Sophilanthropistsathomeandinthediasporaaresavingtheday,usingmobiletransfers,crowdsourcingandshopping-for-justicetogetthatmoneywhereit’sneeded.

Ofcourseweareallbeingtracked.Ourdataisverybigbusiness.Buttherearepeopleouttherehackingintoitandusingittofurtherfeministcampaigning.Andyes,thegunsanddrugsandminingarestillmakingpeoplerich.Theearthisamess,butwell,weknewthatalreadybackin2018.Sonow,wearejustgoingtogettogetherandhavesomefeministFUN!
