Introduction:
ATEC Wireless, LLC. engaged as 3rd party independent contractor company to perform Over-the-Air (OTA) coverage testing and quality for Transit Wireless' subway DAS system (Wi-Comm System) for CMRS (Commercial Mobile Radio Services). This test uses standard CMRS devices, these devices are operating under the control of an indoor-survey tool (iMeasure) to measure the signal strength, signal quality, place voice calls, and performing upload/download data transfers session.
Test Details: This test is conducted after the cellular 2G/3G/4G commercial services are installed and launched for the commercial use (integrated into Wi-Comm system).
The test uses standard CMRS devices operating under control of an indoor-survey tool (iMeasure) to measure 2G (GSM), 3G (UMTS), 4G (LTE), and to place voice calls, FTP or HTTP data sessions while performing data transfers. The iMeasure gathers the KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) and performance metrics from the test devices and the location data within the stations. In addition to collection of data on the station platforms and mezzanines, each entrance to the stations are walked from within the coverage of Transit Wireless’ system to the macro (outside) system and/or reverse.
