her own training company/coaching practice and has broad experience working with leadership

teams and managers in both public and private sector organisations across the uK and worldwide.

rowena has an excellent reputation as an executive/performance coach and selected coach at

the London Business School. Since 2008 Rowena has run her own business offering management

development, personal development and coaching solutions. She has worked throughout

the Middle east running inspirational events for over 10 years and specializes in working with

Session 1 – Introductions - What is Coaching? • Welcome and introduce the group to each other• Introduce the concepts of coaching and mentoring• Clarify the difference between coaching,

mentoring, training, teaching, consulting and counselling etc

• Understand the key skills utilised in both coaching and mentoring

Session 5 – Understanding Values • Understand the importance of knowing ones own

values and self-awareness• To know how to coach others to identify their core

values for self-empowerment• Torecogniseconflictingvaluesinothersandhow

toraiseawarenessofconflictingvalues• Conduct a values elicitation exercise for the self

and others

Session 2 – Coaching skills • Understand the key skills used in coaching

practice• Experience the 3 levels of listening and to

understand the importance of active listening in coaching practice

• Identify different questioning styles and the power of asking intuitive questions in coaching practice

• Questioning techniques to enable individuals to identify personal development needs

Session 6 – The Power of Beliefs • Understandthedifferencebetweenconsciousand

subconscious mind• Recognise the value of understanding ones own

belief systems to raise self-awareness• To be able to raise awareness during a coaching

session of self-limiting beliefs to increase self-esteem

Sessions 3&4 – The TGROW Model Objectives Part 1• Introduce the TGROW Model and how/where

it can be used i.e. action planning, relationship

issues, decision-making etc

• Understand the purpose and power of coaching to

empower, encourage personal responsibility and

commit to action

Session 7&8 – Coaching Practice Part 1• Experience the power of using coaching skills with

groups and individuals

• Practice and discuss when to ‘tell – sell – share and

empower’ individuals

Sessions 3&4 – The TGROW Model Objectives Part 2• To observe a coaching session demonstrated by

the trainer

• Practice 3-way coaching sessions with feedback

from the trainer

Session 7&8 – Coaching Practice Part 2• Share the learning from the two days with each

other

• 3-way coaching/mentoring group exercise/role-

play, (couldbearoundhowto inductanewstaff

member and when to be their mentor and/or when

to switch to developing more of a coaching rela-

tionship with that individual) etc, practical session

with feedback from the trainer.
