    1. Logon to cm-flor-ts003 (Dev) and open Framework Manager.

    Create a new Project

    2. To create new project click on File New

    -> Enter the Project Name

    -> By default, the Location shows up as ..\My Documents\My Projects\

    -> Click on OK.

    3. The following screen shows up, Select the datasource as required.

    4. Select the schema as shown below

    5. Rename the default namespace created as

    6. As per best practices, create three new namespaces one for each layer.

    -> Database Layer:

    -> Business Layer:

    -> Presentation Layer:

    Import Objects into Database Layer

    To import objects into the database layer, right click on the namespace Database Layer and

    click on Run Metadata Wizard. (This wizard allows you to select the views/tables/MQTs

    required for reporting). Screenshots below describe the different steps to be used to import

    objects.

    Once complete click on Finish button.

    The imported objects show up in the Database Layer as shown in the screenshot below.

    Set up relationships in Database layer

    To set up a relationship between two tables imported, select the two tables and right click one of the

    tables and click on Create Relationship

    (Connect BUS_AREA_SID in V_C_D_BUS_AREA to BUS_AREA_SID in V_C_F_BCS_FACT)

    Join the key columns as required, find the change in the screenshot below.

    Set up the relationships between all dimensions and facts as required.

    Business Layer

    Copy all the tables from the Database Layer to the Business Layer.

    The screenshot below displays the tables once copied to the Business Layer.

    Rename the query subjects and the columns to reflect business names. (Sample screenshot below)

    Presentation Layer

    -> Create namespaces required as per project needs.

    -> Provide a name to the new namespace created

    -> Copy the objects to the namespace created.

    Once complete save the cpf created and verify the model by clicking on Project->Verify Model in the

    menu bar on the top.

    Publish Packages

    -> Right click on Packages and click on Create -> Package.

    -> Provide a name for the new package created

    -> Click on Next to select the objects to be included in the package.

    Note: Uncheck the Database and Business Layer and select the objects in the Presentation Layer

    that need to be included.

    -> Click on Finish and the new package would appear under Packages as shown below.

    -> Right click on the package name and click on Publish for the package to be published.
