I looked up pictures on Tumblr and tried to find the perfect couple to tell their story.

I went through about five different couple and found one that was interesting.

This couple was popular on Tumblr and had Youtube videos about their relationship

• Kathy and John have been happily together for 2 yrs.

• They refer to themselves as Nala and Simba from the Lion King.

• They have matching tattoos to represent their endless love for each other.

• He has a music tattoo on his heart to represent what he loves and she has “to infinity and beyond” on her back to represent their love.

The matching Nala and Simba tattoos are on their wrists.Kayla regarding her tattoos and relationship: “ who knows, whether my boyfriend and I stay together forever, or break-up tomorrow, I'll NEVER regret the tattoo, because I'll never regret the love we share. “

The couple project wasn’t progressing as well as I envisioned it to.

There weren’t as much information on the couple I chose as I had hoped.

It was hard for me to get into contact with them since I do not know them personally.

If I had continued on to make a video about them it wouldn’t have enough pictures and there weren’t any actual video footage available of them online.

I really like this couple, so I didn’t want to settle on another one I had seen. Also, couples that I knew personally, were not comfortable with me documenting their relationship.

Those are the reasons why I changed my mind after being uncertain for a couple of weeks.

After finding this poem on Youtube.com about a girl who has contemplated suicide, I decided to change my project from love to suicide.www.youtube.com/watch?v=ll40zbn-dxeThis poem tells exactly what many victims are feeling, and at the end she tells people not to give up hope.It is pretty ironic how love can sometimes be the cause of suicide. Many people refer

to love as a slow form of suicide, since most people get hurt.

Suicide Awareness

After starting this project, I become more aware of suicide on television shows, the news, and the internet.

Ellen Degenres, a talk show host, aired a heartbreaking segment about gay bullying on her shoe the other day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBUMugqDRHg

Recently, a 15 year old boy from Canada committed suicide because of bullying. He documented his problems in a blog.

His blog was called “ You can’t break, when you are already broken”; which featured depressing quotes, references of wanting to be loved, and images of self harm.

The last post he blogged: “Im a casualty of love. Well, Im tired of life really. Its so hard, Im sorry,

I cant take it anymore. First Id like to mention my friends Nancy, Abby,

Colleen, jemma, and Kasia Being sad is sad : /. I’v been like this for way to

long. I cant stand school, I cant stand earth, I cant stand society, I cant stand the scars on my arms, I cant f***ing stand any f***ing thing.

I dont want my parents to think this is their fault either… I love my mom and dad : ) Its just too hard. I dont want to wait 3 more years, this hurts too much. How do you even know It will get better? Its not.

I hit rock f***ing bottom, fell through a crack, now im stuck.

My favorite singers were lady gaga , Adele , Katy perry, and Jessie james, Christina aguilara and most of all I think KASIA!!! Tumblr is a blog website that allows people to express themselves through visual images, videos, and text.

I have a personal Tumblr that I use to connect with people all over the world.

While doing this project I found out about a side of Tumblr, I didn’t know exist.

There are many depressed people who document their lives on this blog site.

A sad video that appeared on my Tumblr dashboard featured another young teen who was a victim of suicide. (Link Below)

This video was a form of visual communication because she didn’t say a word video.

She expressed what she was feeling, by writing on notecards and using different facial expressions.

Shortly after the video was posted she committed suicide, which is the reason for this video becoming so famous on Tumblr.

I found graphic images on Tumblr and Google images.

I searched for a song in my I tunes and on the internet that would best fit the topic of the video.

I edited the video using Windows Movie Maker. The editing process included arranging the pictures in order, setting the timing for each picture, adding effects to the video, fixing the timing of the music, etc.

At the end of the video I made sure to include a hotline number and to let the viewers know that there is hope/help.

I hope this video will help to encourage people to be more active and less cruel to others.

I would have liked to include video clips in my video, but my editing skills are not that advanced yet, so I kept it simple and to the point.
