Collabora've Project

Robert Birze The way this photograph is presented emphasis how Robert Birze wanted the viewer to perceive the image. It is very different and crea've underlining the movement in the image. The final out come has been put together by using mul'ple separate images of a woman siEng at a restaurant doing different things. The outcome clearly expresses the movement people make with everything they do I think this is the message Robert Birze is trying to impact on the reader to be aware of how much you do in so liHle 'me and how others perceive your movement. On first glimpse I interpreted this photograph as a big jumble of images from the same seEng with no clear meaning. But when I examined it and looked closer, I saw how they all fiHed together almost telling a story. A story of the woman’s ou'ng to a café in which she sits pours coffee, takes a phone call, talks to a waiter with extreme detail of facial expression and body language. Going from calm to possibly anxious. As she starts with the sunglasses on her face and they end up off and in her hand. I think this a very crea've and successful way of telling a story through a photo. AOer further thought I also wondered whether the photographer had more meaning behind the photograph that being the expression of how much people do without realising.
Group Joiner
Whole Group Joiner
Evalua'on of group joiner Crea'ng the group joiner was a challenge in itself, but crea'vely gra'fying as everyone in the group were used to working independently and working at different speeds and were s'll unsure how the task was to be carried out. Although our group was not able to see examples of other ar'st joiners, we s'll had an idea and all contributed to get it going. This was challenging but beneficial to us all as photographers as it allowed us to push our crea've boundaries and teamwork past our comfort zone by going ahead with the project and planning as we went along. Overall, I would say that I’m pleased with the jointer and the photos produced by the group as the abstract effect s'll illustrates our idea and the connec'on to our chosen ar'st Robert Birze. On the other hand, I believe we could have done a beHer job as one individual had not contributed to the task as much as the others so the final joiner was leO looking a liHle ‘incomplete’. Therefore on a whole, a lot of compromising and improvisa'on had to be done which again was rather beneficial for us as we were able to push our crea'vity further. I think using Robert Bizare as an inspira'on was very helpful because in his photos, there are also pictures of the same thing but the placement differen'ates the image from another. Even though the joiner may s'll look abstract, I think it would had made more sense and would have been more effec've as a whole with the added detail from the missing photographs. I would also have liked to take more 'me in choosing the subject we were photographing as maybe something slightly more aesthe'cally pleasing would have been more more fun to use.
Individual Joiner
Evalua'on of individual joiner Crea'ng the individual joiner was crea'vely fun an rela'vely easier than the group joiner because I was able to make all the decisions myself and also create the joiner myself. I’m very pleased with the outcome because I believe that I carried out the task as instructed and also illustrates the joining of many photos to make one. I also believe that the composi'on of the photo as well, as some of the photos are overlapping, it gives the image an abstract look yet s'll looks like what it’s supposed to be. I thought it was an easier task than doing the group joiner and I infact received more crea've sa'sfac'on crea'ng this on my own, as opposed to the group joiner. I think this is because as I was allowed to only express my views on this image and it’s composi'on, shoo'ng, object to shoot etc. it made it more enjoyable for me to shoot and work with. However, I did s'll enjoy doing the group joiner as crea've boundaries were pushed – I s'll did enjoy this more. To make the picture abit more aesthe'cally pleasing and interes'ng, I could have experimented more by changing the zoom of the different photos to create a more abstract picture. This sort of experimenta'on would have added a lot more detail to the photo aswell. I would have also played with the angles of the photos and how I placed them aswell.
