  • 4. Worship lies at the heart of what and who Christians are. Christians believe worship shows God to us and us to God.
  • 5. Christians believe worship transforms us as individuals and as a community:
    • Christians believe:
    • We belong to God and to each other in the worship we share
    • We become the people God wants us to become through worship
    • We believe in God and that belief is shaped in our worship
  • 6. In a school context we need to recognise
    • Collective worship in a church school should be wholly Christian
    • Not everyone who attends or leads collective worship is a Christian
  • 7. Is it important for staff, pupils and parents to have a common understanding of what Christian worship is?
