Students must complete the minimum coursework with a minimum of a “C” grade for each course.

A-History/Social Science (2 years required)

B-English (4 years required)

C-Mathematics (3 years required, 4 years recommended)

D-Laboratory Science (2 years required, 3 years recommended)

E-Language other than English (2 years required, 3 years recommended)

F-Visual & Performing Arts (1 year required)

G-College Preparatory Electives (1 year required)

SAT Reasoning Test

*Highest total reading, math, and writing score on general SAT Reasoning Test for a single test date

*Two SAT Subject Tests

(Reading+ Math+ Writing + Subject 1+ Subject 2= Total Score)

ACT Exam

*Highest total math, reading, science, English/Writing Score for a single test date

*Two SAT Subject Tests

Student may be admitted to UC if individual graduates in the top 4% of the high school graduating class

Student must complete the at least the following by end of junior year

-1 year History/Social Science

-3 years English -2 years

Mathematics -1 year Lab

Science-1 year Language

Other Than English-3 years –Visual &

Performing Arts and/or Electives

Report SAT or ACT Test Results-no later than December 2009

Provide reliable email address

Complete Personal Statement

*answer 2 prompts

*complete no more than 1000 words

Receive an email admissions office received application 4-5 weeks after applying

Receive a provisional/conditional acceptance letter between March 1-March 31, 2010

Meet following requirements before final admission

-send SAT/ACT scores to campus no later than December 2009

-submit official high school transcripts no later than July 15, 2010

-send any other documentation upon request

-course & grade requirements must be met or acceptance is revoked

Add SAT Scores for Critical Reading & Math

SAT Writing Score-not included

May include best individual scores

GPA + SAT Reading + SAT Math = 2900 minimum for CA residents, 3502 minimum non-state residents

ACT EXAM

Multiply GPA by 200

Multiply ACT composite score by 10

ACT Writing Score is not included

GPA +ACT composite score=694 minimum for CA residents, 842 minimum non-state residents

Check for email confirmation from CSU Mentor, paper application will take 4-6 weeks

Receive a provisional/conditional acceptance letter between February 1-April 1, 2010 for Fall 2010

Meet following requirements before final admission

-Send high school transcripts upon request

-Submit SAT/ACT scores to CSU campus no later than December 2009

-Submit all other paperwork upon requests

-Complete all remaining high school courses & A-G requirements. Each grade must be a “C” or higher.

-Take ELM (Math) & EPT (English) placement tests no later than June 19, 2010

Students often attend community colleges for additional academic preparation, skills training, and/or financial reasons

Students must meet at least one of the following requirements for admission

-18 years old

-high school graduate

-earned GEDO

ften get first priority on transferring to four year university as long as academic requirements are fulfilled
