DANCE & MUSICBroadway Bound Kids: A Musical Theater Camp Ages 10-15SU18-114CK • Mon to Thu, 6/4/2018 to 6/7/2018 • 1:30- 4pm Prescott • Bldg 31, Room 101Does your child love to sing, dance, and act? The basics of musical theater are introduced in this camp by exploring multiple musical theater production numbers through history, from classic musical theater to the modern day musical. Each day the students will explore a new song. They will learn choreography, singing, and basic character development for each production number they learn. A brief showcase will be performed at the end of the last day of camp so the students can show their friends and family what they learned. No experience is necessary. Each class includes cooking skills, food- environmental and nutrition science lessons. Students will learn safe use and handling of knives, fire, hot pans, food safety, and sanitation. This class covers: 1) Training the sense of taste and how to make things taste good. The Five Tastes Lunch. 2) The mystery and science of yeast and bread. Fresh Baked Rolls, Yogurt Parfaits. 3) Unraveling the mystery of milk: butter, cheese, yogurt, sour cream, cream cheese, and whipped cream. Cheesey Mashed Potatoes, Ricotta Cheese Spread, Crackers, Whipped Cream Dip with Fruit 4) Bringing it all together into the science of pizza. Individual Pizzas.
