Admission 2014-15 for M. Tech. Programs in Process Metallurgy/ Physical Metallurgy/Project Management at Institute Level

As per Annexure-III of M.E./M.Tech. Admission Information Brochure of Directorate of Technical

Education, Mumbai (No.: TEM-2014/S.N.100/T.E. 4 dated 17/06/2014), the admission for vacant seats

after CAP Round-III for the Full Time M. Tech. in Physical Metallurgy (16 seats), Process Metallurgy (15

seats), Project Management (2 seats) in COEP for the academic year 2014-15 will be conducted by COEP

at institute level. These vacant seats will be filled by the candidates who have non-zero positive marks out

of 100 in GATE-2014 in Metallurgy (MT)/Engineering Science (XE with C or F)/Mechanical (ME)/

Production (PI) Engineering papers. For these admissions, candidates having marks more than qualifying

marks in GATE-2013 in above papers are also eligible. If seats remain vacant after the merit list of

candidates with GATE score is exhausted, candidates without GATE score are also eligible for admission

based on their marks in B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgy/Materials Science/Mechanical/Mechanical

Sandwich/Production/Production Sandwich/Industrial Engineering. The Institute level admission will be

conducted on 23 August 2014 at 10:30 am in Metallurgy Department. The order of inter-se merit for

admission will be based on marks in GATE initially and then marks in B.E./B.Tech. Filling of on-line

Rules and regulations for Admission 2014-15 for M. Tech. Programs in Process Metallurgy/ Physical Metallurgy/Project Management at Institute Level

1. The students have to pay complete fees - A. For the Maharashtra state student Rs. 88444/- per year B. Non- Maharashtra state students Rs 88844/- per year.

2. Fees should be paid in the form of demand draft only IN FAVOR of THE DIRECTOR, COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, PUNE immediately at the time of admission on the same day.

3. Documents required for the admission. The candidate has to show the original documents for the scrutiny

a. B. E/ B. Tech mark sheet b. Leaving certificate/ transfer certificate c. Domicile and Nationality certificate d. Caste certificate, cast validity certificate and creamy layer certificate in case of

OBC candidate. e. Migration certificate for students from other than Pune University. f. Gate score card (including online print out for the non qualifying gate score) g. Migration certificate h. Gate score card

4. The order of inter- se merit for the admission will be based on marks in Gate initially then marks in B. E/ B. Tech.

5. The admission process will be conducted in Metallurgy and Material Science department of College of Engineering, Pune

6. Candidate has to pay Rs. 700/- as Registration fees of application form through the Demand Draft in FAVOR “DIRECTOR COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, PUNE”
