• Understanding Patients with Specialized Medical Needs (Med, Neuro, Psych)

• Understanding Patient with Surgical & Reproductive Needs (Surgery, Ob-Gyn, Radiology, Anesthesiology)

• Understanding Patients within Populations (Pediatrics, OPT Family and Internal Medicine, Preventative and Community Health)

Each of these 4 month rings begins with a week long ground school where advance basic science content is delivered.

Advanced Management in Ambulatory and Relationship Centered Care Emergency Medicine Sub Internship

Advanced Clinical Track: 3 month linked clinical experiences that help prepare students for residency by developing advanced skills in an area of focus. For example:Surgery: Surgical Anatomy--Abdominal Imaging--General

Surgery; andNeuroscience: Neuroradiology-Neurosurgery -Traumatic

Brain Injury Service.

Departments will work in an interdisciplinary fashion to create these experiences for the students.
