COLLISION REPAIR &
REFINISHING TECHNOLOGY
The Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology program prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and
skills to repair, reconstruct and finish automobile bodies, fenders, and external features.
Upon completion of the Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology Diploma program, students will be able to:
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to be a Refinish Technician as demonstrated by earning the
I-CAR PDP-EE Refinish Technician Platinum Certification by successful completing all ProLevel 1 Refinish
requirements.
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to be a Non-Structural Technician as demonstrated by
earning the I-CAR PDP-EE Non-Structural Technician Platinum Certification by successful completing all
ProLevel 1 Non-structural requirements.
Perform 10 different welds on thick & thin steel
coupons as demonstrated by successful completion
based on the guidelines and destructive test used in
the I-CAR Welding Training Certification Steel MIG
Welding (WCS03).
Repair a damaged vehicle frame based on damage
identification derived from computerized frame
measurements as demonstrated by a score of 80
or above on the Final Frame Repair project in
AUB 131 Structural Damage I.
Write a complete computerized estimate of
repairs using the CCOne Estimating Software on
a damaged vehicle as demonstrated by a score
of 80 or above on the Final Estimating Project in
AUB 162 Autobody Estimating.

The Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology program is built in a modular format, which allows
students to begin their program in any semester.
The Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology Diploma program is not specifically designed for transfer.
However, students completing the program are eligible to transfer to other community colleges if they desire
to complete an Associate in Applied Science degree.
