COLORADO is in the Western U.S> with a population of 5.1 residents. It was named for the Colorado River, which early Spanish explorers named “Rio Colorado”. The state was admitted to the Union in 1876 during the centennial year of the Declaration of Inde-pendence. It is noted for its beautiful landscape and for the many recreational sites. Lion-ism got started in the state with the chartering of the Colorado Springs, Denver, and Pueblo Lions Clubs in 1917.

NOTE: The WHITE background pins were issued in error. The Regular issue incorrectly designated the pin as a Colorado Pin Trading Club pin and had the incorrect dates of 2018-2019. This has been corrected with the issue of the BLUE background pins. The error on the prestige version pertains only to the dates. The correct dates of 2017-2018 are correctly shown on the BLUE issues.
