Always Use A Good Lens Hood

It’s important to stop stray light falling on the lens surface, since this can lower image contrast or lead to visible flare, so your images appear flat with poor colour.

The histograms on digital cameras only reflect the output of sRGB Jpegs, so it’s a really good practice to use a handheld meter to maximise the full colour gamut of your Raw files.
