Michelle saidshedidn't know any rCM membersandshedidn't speakto anyof them prior to the shooting. Michelle said sheentered thecafeteria at appro". I1.25AM withherfriend, Nicole West. Michelle saidNicole neededto usethephoneso they left thecafeteria area tousethephoneby therebelcomerstore.Michelle said they left theirbackpacks at table #Vbecause thatweretheywere going tosit forlunch. Michelle saidChristiWinfrey, VeronicaGriffith, SarahWaymeyer, SarahRosemary, Jessica Gertzweresitting at the table. Michelle saidNicole andherexitedthrough theexit doors bytheRebel Storewhen everyone started running outof thecafeteria.Michelle said they ran to thehill bythe fence onPieceSI. and then to a housein thearea. Michelle saidsheleftherbackpack in thecafeteria bywhereshewas going tosit,Michelle said that shedidn't seethe shooters orrCM oranyone suspicious inside oroutside thecafeteria priorto, or afterthe shooting.I asked Michelle allof thequestions onTeam #4 question list and shecouldn'tprovideany further information.Michelle's father, Gus Castro reported thatoneofhis employee'sJorgeSilvahad someinformation aboutthe incident. I interviewed Mr. Silvaand he reported thai hisnephew,LesterPortillo who is attending anEnglewood Middie School told himsomeinformationabouttheincident. Lestersaid hehada friend (unknown name) wholivesin thesameapartment complex that told himabouta girlwhowas saying herboyfriend claimed tohaveshotMr. Sanders. Thisparty also toldhisgirlfriend not to goto Englewood HighSchool becausethere wasgoing tobea shooting. Mr. Silvasaid that hebelieved theinformation because ofhowscaredhis nephew was abouttellingthis information.     On May 13 , 1999, Inv, Duane Eaton of the Arvada PoliceDepartment was assigned invest igat ive lead bearing Control #3324,The source of the information was l i s ted as Michelle Castro (DOB:08/15/84). cas t ro i s l is ted as a student of Columbine High School.Said inves t igat ive lead had been prepared by Sgt . Calvin Hemphillof th e Denver Police Department on May 1 ~ 1999. The narrativeadvised that the .ource indicated that Lester Port i l lo had Cold herthat h is frie nd was to ld by a g i r l that her boyfriend said that heshot Mr. Sanders, lnv, Eaton was assigned the task of locating andinterJ iewing Lester Por t i l lo to find out the names of the personshe had received this information from in order to conducesubsequent in terviews.

    On Monday, May 17 , 1999 a t approximately 1045 hours, Inv.Eaton was able to make telephone con ta ct w ith s ou rce, MichelleCastro. Inv. Eaton adv ised Cas tro of the information he hadreceived and asked her to elaborate upon th is information. Castroadvised Inv, Eaton that she was unaware of anything such as Inv,EatOn had jus t advised her of. Castro a dvis ed !n v. Eaton that sh edid not know, nor was acquainted with, anyone named LesterPor t i l lo . She advised that sh e had never given any informationsuch as !nv. Eaton had asked her ahout to anyone to any persons.She advised t ha t she has no such info and has never had any suchinfo, and t ha t she has never spoken with a Sgt. Hemphill from theDenver police Department. Castro advised Inv. Eaton that she hasnever heard anyone discuss with her being acquainted with anyonec l a i m ~ n g to have shoe Mr. San4ers or anyone else a t the school.

    Castro did advise Inv, Eaton tha t she had been interviewed byDet, Allen of the Denver police Departmenc. She a dv is ed In v, Eatonthat she spoke with Det. A llen about her observa t ions on TUesday,Apri l 20, 1999, Castro advised Inv. Eaton that she had been on apay telephone a t columbine High School and she had given h erstatement to Det. After Viewing a map of theschool she s tated it is On the top f loor above and behind the gym onthe map.Leigh Ann s tated she SaW the weird" student as she was approachingthis class room around 9: 00 A.M., and the person was looking a l laround while walking s lowly down the hallway. The susp ic ious personwaS alone and wearing his hat on his head back wo.rd. She went on tosay he had sunglasses tha t were plas t ic and a l l black w ith circularlenses On. An insignia was in the center of a long black coat .The coat was almost knee length. I t had pockets on the side and hewore it With the col lar raised up in the back. Leigh Ann feels thejacket was open and had buttons to close i t , in ste ad o f a zipper.

    On May 5, 1999, this investigator met with Zach Cobb at hisr es idence . P re sent dur ing the interview were his parents.

    Zach advised that after completing his fourth hour foreignlanguage class, he went to the cafeteria and arrived there atapproximately 11: 12 avm, He was shown a diagram of the cafeter iaand was asked i f he could recall where he had been seated. He advised tha t he then saw Mr.Sanders standing on a cha i r near the serc ice l ine counter and Mr.Sanders was t e l l ing everyone to get down. Zach said t ha t before hegot down on the f loor, he looked through a window in the direct ionof where he had heard the explosion but did not see anything. Hesaid he then began to craw l towards the s t a i r s . He said he heardWhat sounded l ike f irecrackers and added tha t the pops werecontinuous, very quick in succession, and la s ted about f iveseconds. He said tha t once he reached the school 's main f loor heran to h is l e f t and ended up in the auditorium. While there , he saidhe heard more "pops , ' much l ike What he had heard before. He advisedt ha t he ran out of the auditorium and down a hallway which leads tothe administration off ices . Once there , he said he could see tha tg lass in the doors had been shat tered as well as g lass in windowsand he sa id th ere were bul le t holes v is ib le , in the glass and doors.He s ta ted th at he ran out the main doors and continued running toClement Park. He said he heard more "gunshots" while a t the park. Hethought he was a t the park for about f i f teen minutes when he got ar ide with a fr iend, Dave Hooker and Dave's fa ther .

    Zach sta ted that they drove away and were in the vic in i ty of S.Pierce and Roxbury when he saw a person known by him to be a memberof the Trench Coat Mafia. He said th is person was on foot by thePizza Hut and had waved down a Toyota Tercel, b lue in color . Hedescribed the male as being very t a l l , approximately, 6 '5" , withvery long hai r , wearing jeans and a t i e - dyed sh i r t , black and redin color and a black and red cap, worn backwards. He said he did notknow the person by name.

    Zach advised tha t Eric Harris had been in one of h is classesduring h is f i r s t semester but he did not associa te with him. He saidhe did not know Dylan Klebo ld . Regarding the Trench Coat Mafia - itwas zach' s opinion that most students knew who they were because ofwhat they wore, but not many students had anything to do with them.

Hehad come from Ms Abbotts language arts class on the east end of thebuilding, He was walking alone, and arrived a t the cafeter ia alone,waiting for some fr iends, He sat down on a concrete bench near thebathrooms below the steps into the cafeter ia , Another student satdown by him, but William did not know his name, As William waitedfor his fr iends he heard "popping sounds" outside towards the west,He then saw students standing up. He heard a jan i tor say "get down,he'll got a gun". William circle the area of the cafeter ia he waswaiting a t a t 11 :30am on 4/20/99 on a cafeter ia drawing I providedfor him.William sta ted he got on the ground and did not see anything, Heheard more popping sounds while he was on the ground.     Lindsay went to the lunch l ine go get lunch. The l ine wasn ' tlong. She came back to her sea t . She put her food down. As soonas she s a t down, Mr. Sanders and a custodian were running from thedi rec t ion of the teacher ' s lounge. The custodian went by thewindows and Mr. Sanders went the way of the lunch l ines . They wereyel l ing a t them to get under the t ab les . Everyone was down underthe tables fo r about 15 seconds. Lindsay heard n dth ing . Thes tudents s ta r ted to get up. Mr. Sanders yelled to s tay down. Abunch of s tudents s ta r t ed running toward the s ta i r s and some towardthe kitchen. Chairs were being thrown out of the way.

    Lindsay heard a gun shot when they a l l s ta r t ed to get back up.She 's neve r heard a gun shot before. I t was high pi tched, k:ind of1 ike a f i r e cracker . I t sounded l ike a toy cap gun. She didn ' thear a bomb. She never saw any smoke.

    She sa id tha t a mob of kids s ta r t ed going up the s t a i r s . Atthe second t i e r , there was a g i r l s l id ing down. As Lindsay reachedto grab her, she saw some of the cement "f lying" . (Like a bul l e thad h i t i t . ) When Lindsay go to the top of the s t a i r s , she l e t goof the g i r l . The hai r was not down to the shoulders . The personwas not wearing a hat . She did not notice anything on the trenchcoat . This person seemed t a l l e r than Lindsay.     She ran out the doors. So many people were t ry ing to get outthe doors. She h i t a se t of steps and tr ipped. When she lookedback, there was someone on the roof. I t was j u s t a glance. Shecouldn ' t t e l l what the person was wearing or holding, or what theperson looked l ike . She kept running a f t e r tha t .

    She ran down the s ta i r s to Pierce and across Pierce to LeawoodPark. Then, she caught up with Megan Minger. They j u s t keptwalking s t ra igh t out of the park. They followed some g i r l who sa idshe l iv ed c lo se . They went to her house. This g i r l i s a cousin ofLindsay Blevins: 303 973-4783.

    At th i s g i r l ' s house, when they got there , there were 5 or "people already there . She stayed there a l i t t l e b i t , and thensomeone came and sa id t h a t people were sheot ing a t the s cho ol. Morekids came, close to 100.

Alsopresent during the interview were Crandall's parents . Crandallprovided the fol lowing informat ion :Crandall is a senior a t Columbine High School (CHS) .Crandall personally knows Dylan Klebold. Crandall had acomposition for College Bound language class with him. Crandalldoes not personally know Eric Harris.On April 20, 1999, Crandall went to CHS a tapproximately 8:15 a.m. to meet with student Tina Bernacohi andMichelle Fox. The three met and l e f t the school a t 8:20 a.m. togo to the marketing banquet at the Welshi re Inn, Denver,Colorado. The three returned together a t approximately 11:00 to11:15 a.m. Bernacchi drove her oar and parked in her space,space number 50.When leaving the school with Bernacohi and Fox,Crandall believes tha t she observed Klebold pul lin g i nt o t.he CHS'parking lo t . He was driving his black BMW and Crandall did notobserve anyone with him. Cranaall believes that Klehold may havebeen wearing a black basebal l cap backwards on his head. This

    would have been approximately 8:20 a.m. a t the beginning of thesecond hour. At about 1050 hrs., Tony and Jay were eatinglunch.Curtiswentdown to get an Amy's and his lunch. He thenbegan eating. At about IllSbrs., he wentdownstairs in Jay's area by the lower common entrance. Tony and Curtiswent to the area, thenCurtiswent to thewest sideof the cafeteria.Curtis indicated he saw these kids around before lunch. Hewent outside and saw SeamGraves on the ground. Curtiswent outside. Chris, a teacher side there was gun lire.Curtisthoughtit was a prank. Curtis then heard a loud explosion. CurtissaidthatDavidandLance were down. Curtisthenwentbackinside.Curtiswas yelling to get the kids away from the window. There were about seventy fiveto two hundred kidsgoingtowards the auditorium. Curtiswentthroughthe kitchen. Curtisgot a cookie rack to put in front of the door Jay got aniron pot. Curtis was in communication with Andy, the campus supervisor. Andy toldCurtisthat a SWAT teamhadenteredthebuilding.At one pointthey saw shadows outside. Whoever it was said its OK to come out. AsCurtisstartedopening the door, he heard a gun shot.When asked how many suspectsCurtis saw, he said one chased them. Explosives weregoing off upstairs. Curtis indicated he thought therewas possibly two to four shooters.. This Investigator askedCurtis i f it was possible hewas only seeing the same two peopleandbe saidyes. Mr. Sanders wasinitially outside and he ran backin the building. David Sanders stood on a chair and toldeveryone to get down.Curtisrelated he only sawtow people with trench coatsand guns. This Investigator askedCurtis i f he had spoken to anyone about the incident? Initially he talked to Gary fromlefferson. He toldGarywhatwasgoing on inside.Curtis indicated heverywell couldhave continued to see the same two people during theincident. At one point, Curtis related thet lay saw some of the shooters through themirrors. Curtis identified lay as:
