The Columbus County Community Farm- ers Market Value Added Center is a shared -use commercial kitchen facility. It is available for rent to the general public. The facility has been inspected and certi- fied by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, Food and Drug Protection Division as a Commu- nity Kitchen. The Value Added Center may be used for commercial food processing such as jams, jellies, and other canned goods, baked goods, as well as honey extraction. Normal hours of operation are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, from 7:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. The Market features farmer-grown, farmer -sold products. Member's farms are vis- ited periodically to assure that all items sold are locally grown by the seller and are of the highest quality.
