Detail itinerary
Day 1. Hanoi arrival – short city tour (-/-/D)
Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will be met by our guide and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon,
visit the Confucian Temple of Literature, built in 1070 - the first royal university in Vietnam in
1076 and the ancient Tran Quoc pagoda. Walking through the Hanoi Old Quarter to visit daily
life. You dive into the bustling city - mopeds, cars, pedestrians, loads that are unequaled

Day 2. Hanoi – Halong (B/L/D)
After breakfast we drive to Halong Bay. We embark our wooden junk to discover this
spectacular site. Halong Bay is a natural wonder, with numerous islands and lime-stones rising
from the emerald water. We visit one of caves and explore Halong Bay by kayak. Fresh seafood
lunches and dinners are prepared by our cooks and served on board. Overnight on the junk,
deluxe cabin.
Transfer Hanoi - Halong: 170km/ approx. 3.5h – 4h

Approximately 170 km from the capital Hanoi is the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Halong
Bay. According to the Sino-Vietnamese, “Ha” means descending and “Long” means dragon.
Therefore, Ha Long Bay literally means "the bay of the descending dragon", a fusion of ancient
mythology and Vietnamese history. The officially 1996 karst cones in the turquoise waters
provide a backdrop that is absolutely unique. At present, overnight on board is very popular
with visitors. In addition to the beautiful landscape, visitors can enjoy the variety of seafood
Day 3. Halong – Hanoi – fligt Hue (B/Brunch)
The next day, white sand beaches appear gradually as the tide goes down. After a good night
on our boat, we discover our own eyes the beauty and charm of the bay with its wild beaches,
small caves. Around 11h, check out and cruise back on land. Transfer directly to the airport for
flight to Hue. Arrive Hue, check in Hue and have overnight at hotel

Day 4. City tour in Hue – Transfer to Hoi An (B/L/-)
Breakfast in the hotel. You will then visit the Imperial Citadel - the legacy of Vietnam's last
imperial dynasty, a fortress built in the early 19th century. Within these walls is the Forbidden
Purple City and the residence of the royal family. By dragon boat, you make a boat tour along
the Perfume River. The boat stop at Thien Mu Pagoda. Take some minutes to visit the pagoda
with your tour guide. After that, visit the tomb of Emperor Tu Duc. The tomb has more than 50
monuments, built between 1864 and 1867 by three thousand soldiers and workers on an area
of 12 ha. Then leave Hue and transfer to Hoi An. You pass the Hai Van Pass (Pass of the Ocean
Clouds), that offers a magnificent view over white sandy beaches and lush forests. Do not miss
the opportunity to take amazing nature photo with your camera.

Upon arrival in Hoi An, check-in. Overnight in Hoi An.
Boat tour on Perfume River: 45 minutes
Transfer Hue – Hoi An: 150km / 4h
Day 5. Hoi An ancient town (B/-/-)
In the morning, visit Hoi An ancient town - was recognized by UNESCO as being World Cultural
Heritage in 1999. Hoi An used to serve as an active port of trade with the Japanese, Dutch,
Portuguese and Chinese people during the 17th and 18th centuries. The streets, houses and
architecture are remained ‘untouched’, despite turbulent history. Visit to Japanese Covered
Bridge and the Tan Ky ancient house, Chua Ong Pagoda. After that, visit the Art Gallery of the
Precious Heritage (Phan Boi Chau Road No. 26), there are pictures of the French photographer
Rehahn Coqueville about the ethnic groups in Vietnam. The rest of the day is free. Overnight in
Hoi An.
OPTIONAL TOUR: HAL DAY BIKE TO TRA QUE VILLAGE: Charge: 20 USD / per person, you
can take a bike ride to Tra Que village
Visit Tra Que' village by bicyle (5 km - 15 minutes from Hoi An). Tra Que is famous for its
aromatic herbs, mint and basil at the head. The sheets, which appear smaller than usually, are
characterized with a particular flavour. You have chance to discover the life of the farmers
while they are working strenuously with joys and enthusiasm, have opportunity to participate
in agricultural activities, return to Hoi An in the early afternoon.

Day 6. Hoi An – Da Nang – flight to Saigon: short city tour (B/-/-)
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Saigon. Your tour guide will meet you at the airport and
accompany you on a short city tour of Saigon city center. Visit the Central Post Office, the Notre
Dame Cathedral (outside only), the post office buildings and especially the FITO Museum - a
museum of Traditional Vietnamese medicine. All museums are equipped with modern audio-
visual technology, which regularly shows "A Century of Health Care Experiences" - a
documentary film about the history of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine. Overnight in Saigon

Day 7: Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnel – Siem Reap (B/L/-)
After breakfast, depart to Cu Chi
Tunnel, which is located 60 km from
Ho Chi Minh city at the northwest. This
complex of underground tunnels
stretching over more than 250 km and
was made by the Viet Cong guerillas
during the war against the Americans. The cleverly constructed tunnel was the key to victory
over the modern American forces and Southern Vietnamese fantoccini. During our excursion
we also learn more about what ‘Viet Cong life’ looked like during these times.
After that, transfer to the airport directly for your flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival in Siem
Reap, pick up and meet your Siem Reap guide, then transfer to Hotel in Siem Reap for overnight.

Day 8: Siem Reap - Angkor Thom - Angkor Wat – Ta Prohm (B/-/D)
After breakfast, we head to the south gate of Angkor Thom, the "big city", to visit the famous
Bayon temple built in the 12th century, dedicated to Shiva God; Baphoun temple with its
several towers decorated with meter high smiling stone faces of the sensitive god Lokeshvara.
Later, we will take you to the Terrace of the Elephants, the Terrace of the Leprosy King and the
Terrace of the Phimean Akas. In the afternoon, visit the Angkor Wat temple complex, one of the
largest religious buildings in the world and recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
The temple complex, which is both the national landmark and the heart and soul of Cambodia,
offers everything the explorer's heart desires on a cultural level. Finally, visit the Ta Prohm
Temple, which is overgrown with towering fig tree roots and giant climbing plants and served
as the setting for the famous movie Lara Croft: Tom Raider. In the evening, enjoy a dinner with
Apsarashow in the local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 9: Siem Reap - Banteay Srei – Kbal Spean (B/L/-)
This morning, by bus you travel outside of Siem Reap to Kbal Spean, the river of the 1000
Lingas, 30 km from Angkor archaeological sites in the south. Upon arrival, you will make a
hiking tour to the river carvings with countless lingas (Hindu stone figures). In the afternoon,
transfer to Banteay Srei, the Citadel of Women, a true masterpiece of Khmer art. The temple
was built of pink sandstone and decorated with ornate ornaments and will surely charm you.
On the way back to Siem Reap, stop at Banteay Samre.

Its rose-colored sandstone walls are decorated with carvings and bas-reliefs, which are among
the most accomplished Angkor has to offer. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 10: Siem Reap – Tonle Sap lake
departure (B/-/-)
The morning starts with a boat trip on the
Tonle Sap lake. The lake is 100km long and
therefore it is the largest lake in Cambodia.
After 30 – 45min driving, you will arrive
floating fishing village, whose inhabitants live
in floating house. You will make a boat trip to explore the village. Back on land, return to Siem
Reap, past idyllic landscapes and villages. Stop at the workshop Artisan d'Angkor, founded in
1992 as a training center for young Cambodian craftsmen, who preserve traditional
craftsmanship and earn the living for their family. You spend the afternoon in the Old Market
(if have enough time). Time for strolling before driving to the airport for the flight home.
