Our Waycross Campus is a little further to the southeast and will soon offer a selection of bachelor’s degree courses in addition to existing Associate of Arts and Associate of Science Pathway Transfer classes. Entry programs also are offered at Georgia Southwestern State University and Valdosta State University.*

Living on the Douglas Campus puts you right in the middle of the Hawk Nation. Amenities include fully furnished residential suites, private bedroom and semi-private bath, Wi-Fi, study rooms, and laundry facilities. A per semester payment includes rent, an all-you-can-eat, buffet-style meal plan and utility fees all rolled into one. The STEM and Academic Success Centers are a short walk from the residence hall, and the “Haulin Hawks” shuttle makes weekly runs to the store or to the Coffee Regional Medical Center clinic as needed. On-site safety and security are paramount and available 24/7.

HAWK ATHLETES ROCK! Are you ready to fly? SGSC Hawk athletics program has a rich tradition of successful seasons and bringing home championships. Six athletic teams went on to postseason play last year, and more than 25 student athletes moved on to play at the next level. A member the National Junior College Athletic Association and the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association, our athletes not only come from Georgia, but from across the United States and other countries around the world. We offer men’s baseball and basketball, women’s soccer and softball, men’s and women’s cross country and swimming.
BA SEBALL
The Hawks have made 15 straight postseason appearances including
three East Central District appearances in the past
six seasons and one World Series berth in 2011.
The team ranked as high as 19th nationwide during
the 2016-2017 season.
BA SKETBALL
SGSC has four NJCAA All Americans.
The basketball team has made one NJCAA
Tournament appearance.
SOF TBALL
Several SGSC women graduates have played or
are now playing in Division I.
The SGSC women’s team has received the NJCAA
Academic Team Award for the past two years.
SOCCER
The SGSC’s Lady Hawks team sports many
international students.
Numerous four-year colleges have
expressed interest in Lady Hawks players.
MEN’S AND WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
Both the men’s and women's team finished second at the Central
Georgia Tech Invitational.
Ten cross country athletes are currently receiving
scholarships for the 2017-2018 school year.

nation at the NJCAA annual March swim meet.

LET’S GET STARTED Getting started is easy with our paper or online application and a one-time $20.00 application fee. You’ll also need to provide the following information:
• Official high school transcripts with your graduation date or official GED scores
• Official college transcripts (if applicable)• A $125 Housing Application fee (if applicable)• An immunization record, completed by a health
care professional• Required test scores
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
AccuPlacer is used for entrance and placement purposes to determine if learning support classes are needed.
Students may be exempted from testing if SAT or ACT thresholds are met.
Students seeking state and federal financial aid are encouraged to begin the financial aid process as early as possible. To complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), log on to www.fafsa.ed.gov. Make sure to enter the SGSC school code 001592 on the application. The Office of Financial Aid is your first stop to seek financial aid eligibility, direct loans, grants, HOPE and ZELL scholarship and work study information.
Students attending the Douglas Campus may explore SGSC Foundation scholarships through the Office of External Affairs. Waycross Campus students may apply for scholarships through the Dye Foundation. Foundation scholarships are based on financial need or academic and athletic achievement.
