Going to Palermo was quite the people involved. Visit of the city toured by our students who

were our guests’ local guides

After discussing the most urgent and important issues of the

project, we had a great cultural tour in the city of Palermo,

Sicily. We were astonished and amazed to be able to see at

least some spectacular places of interest in this outstanding city.

Exciting to note was the exurburant splendour  of the city of Palermo with its wide avenues, majestic buildings and the culture of centuries gone by.

The city is much larger and impressing than we ever expected it

to be.

Rich in culture, very much alive and with a very large population - even

bigger than our capital city of Amsterdam.

Both exciting and stunning we found the traffic in Palermo  especially after midnight. During the bustling night

life of Palermo the traffic seems to be even more frantic than by daylight.

We could just stand there in the centre watching it -  like watching an

attraction on a fair...

Full day excursion to Monreale and Cefalù.

We were touched by marvelous

countryside and beautiful views we were able to see. Friendliness

and warm relationships

made us feel like one big

international family under the surname “The Speculums”.

It’s time to come

back home

We were very much impressed by the warm welcome, the hospitality and all the efforts of

the Italian school, its delegation and the project coordinator that were made to give the

project the best start possible.

For us from the north this makes the "warm south" which is like a warm bath warming both

our bodies and our souls...
