Commemorative Postage Stamp Activity

In this activity you will create a commemorative stamp for the following

Era or Event: _______________________________________________

Either on the computer or using the provided card stock, create a stamp

that exemplifies or pays homage to the assigned era or event. Examples of

such stamps are on the back of this page. Your stamp can illustrate a com-

bination of parts or focus on a singular memorable event. If you focus on

a particular person, your stamp must illustrate characteristics, accom-

plishments, or moments that define that individual. Please refer to this

site when referencing the elements of a stamp

http://www.stampworld.com/en/articles/postage-stamp-design/

The list of things you cannot do are as follows:

-No Stick figures

-Text cannot be no more than 25% of the usable space

-If creating this on the computer you may need to be aware that simp-

ly copying and pasting associated elements does not satisfy the creative

element of this activity. You will be asked to explain your placement and

usage.

-If using the computer, you must cite your sources and share your

stamp with me so that I may print it.

-Keep in mind the purpose of the activity: Create and Commemorate

the era or event.
