AIA Quality Assurance

Learning Objectives

1. Given the commissioning requirement to assist in the pre-certification of a bio-safety laboratory, hospital operating room, or isolation room, the attendee will be able to develop and execute a pre-certification script, helping to assure a smooth certification processhelping to assure a smooth certification process.

2. Given the commissioning requirement to assist in the pre-certification of a bio-safety laboratory, hospital operating room, or isolation room, the attendee will be able to establish a detailed Roles and Responsibilities Matrix that will document the activities and level of involvement of all personnel involved in the certification of the laboratory and its systems.

• Documentation○ Especially important to document the Baseline p y p○ NO SAMPELING○ Don’t assume that because a room controls in one Failure Mode, it

will control in similar modes○ Changes to the Sequence of Operation (SoO) in one space may○ Changes to the Sequence of Operation (SoO) in one space may

disrupt the SoO control in adjacent spaces○ The Certifying Authority will measure and record every space

pressure relationship in every failure mode and include this in their reportreport

○ Remember to document System control info:- Pressures and Differentials- Frequencies, Hertz, Amps- Program setpoints and actual control points- Program setpoints and actual control points - Reaction times- Alarm points
