T he start of 2021 has been challenging, but hope is on the horizon. The COVID-19 pandemic is still pre-sent and part of our daily lives. The good news is that vaccines are now being distributed to high risk groups getting us closer to the possibility of in-person meetings.

Unfortunately, this year’s APCO Western Regional Conference in Boise Idaho starting March 31st to April 2nd was cancelled due to the pandemic. We are hoping 2022 will be a year we can all meet again in a confer-ence setting. I want to thank Terri Nelson for organizing the next Telecommunicators Award Banquet. It will be an event to remember! Last month’s January Zoom meeting attendance was outstanding! I want to thank Carrie Cate-Clements and Matthew Boggs from Cradlepoint for its vendor presentation showcasing a variety of public safety solutions and donating a prize drawing. I also want to thank George Kizer with a great presentation on the 6GHz Spec-trum Sharing. If you missed any of these presentations, we have them posted on the CPRA website, please visit www.cpra.org This month’s virtual presentation format will be a little different thanks to our producer John Wright! Our CPRA Commercial members will have a greater presence in showcasing their solutions with a brief commer-cial during breaks. If you are a commercial member, we are offering 1 free (2min) ad slot during the 2021 cal-endar year. Members can place additional (2min) ads for a nominal fee. Please visit the CPRA online store form more information about pricing. Calling all Volunteers! Ask a board member how you can help! This month’s meeting will be Thursday February 18th – Special Virtual Meeting at 10:00am. For all things CPRA, please visit the CPRA website, www.cpra.org, for up-to-date information about Chapter meetings, events, happenings, and history. If you have questions, concerns or suggestions, please feel free to contact me at [email protected]
