THE COMMON CENTS BULL SALE

PAGE 4

On behalf of JDMC Cattle Company and Circle S Cattle Company I would like to thank you for taking the time to look through our offering in the 2nd Annual “COMMON CENT$” Bull Sale. We are extremely excited about not only this offering but also about the future of the beef industry. You, as cow/calf producers, are going to be in the driver’s seat for years to come and there is no better time than now to point your cow herd in the right direction for the future.

"# '()*+##++;<+==#++larger percentage of her body weight... without creep feed. This is a big part of the equation of getting cows to work for you so you don’t have to work for them

In an effort to develop bulls that will go out and perform at the highest level possible for you, we have managed them in a ++=+-age, lower energy diet. As we have heard from many of our previous customers, our bulls are extremely durable and many are very pleased to have bulls that have the ability to stay in shape and a get large percentage of cows bred. When bulls are managed this way they will work better earlier and last longer for you the customer.

We would also like to announce our inaugural customer appreciation bred heifer offering. We have decided to develop a program providing our customers a market for their bred heifers. This year we have a powerful set of commercial females with our genetics consigned. As we are developing this program, we look forward to talking with you about taking advantage of this opportunity.

We look forward to seeing you on January 26th and if you can’t make it feel free to contact any of us or the sale staff as we will be introducing our new 100% sight unseen guarantee. Also, watch for videos as they can be viewed at www.shorthorbulls.com on January 14.

Thank You

JDMC Cattle Co & Circle S Circle S Cattle Co.

Red, Polled, Calving Ease, Fleshing Ability. All this and still maintains that certain look and eye appeal. I cannot say enough about what the Bonanza X Marquis cross will do but that is how we plan on building our <>?QZhoping to get some daughters to put back into the herd. We got them and along with 5 lead bulls to offer for our sale. This bull is the bull to build a herd around. I promise the females from this future herd sire will be around for a long time and will not disappoint any cattle person. This bull is a labor reducer Since we have owned this cow she has had three natural bull calves- One in North Dakota, one in Minnesota, and one in Iowa. All three sons working extremely well for their respective owners. . It just takes COMMON CENT$ to bring any of these bulls home.MWWMLKMCEYWWWBWCE

When we planned this mating we knew without a doubt that we were going to get fault free offspring that were going to give us a ton of rib ++ +dreamed of getting a bull like this. He has IT. Period. If we weren’t trying to take pictures the day before a blizzard and had more time we would have gotten one that did him justice… He is a freak. He will make those females that absolutely everyone will admire. I don’t care what kind of cattle you like you will like him. Scurred.

Let’s talk maternal. Not only has his dam caused a stir but so has his grand dam and great-grand dam. They are three of the best Deerhorn cows maybe ever to walk the pastures. I cannot think of a better way to start off this part of the sale. Here is one stout Revolution son that is sure to impress the most critical of cattlemen. He has a full brother that will be in the same part of the sale next year. He will work on heif-ers and work for a long time to come. If eye appeal is your thing look no further. The Coming Two’s Story This is what we are planning for the future. We have decided to increase this group year by year and hope to eventually sell a larger group of coming two year old bulls. We feel that to truly manage the bulls and the cows correctly we should be utiliz-ing more grass. These bulls were all kicked out to grass this summer to be developed the way they were meant to be…. ON GRASS WITH NOTHING BUT MINERAL. These bulls were brought along slowly last winter before going to pasture then brought home this fall to be diet. These bulls will be able to get the job done and last a long time.

These two bulls are both Beef Maker purebreds. If you are in need for two bulls this will make a great tandem. They are similar in their design and make up. Both are long bodied thick made bulls. They are from old Hilbrand cows that are over 15 years old and still in the herd. Harvey never had the papers transferred on the cows but they are both moderate framed easy keeping cows that always calve early. Absolutely no udder or feet issues in these cow families either.

“Why Shorthorns?”

David Skogelund has been using Shorthorn Genetics in his crossbreeding program for 15 years. Early this fall he sold his non-replacement heifers. He killed 43 head with 41 of them grading choice or prime. There were 2 selects and one YG 4, which was also a prime. At the time the choice select spread was over $20. The heifers averaged 1251 pounds. He sold his steers two months prior weighing 1458 pounds and yielded 64.8%.
