How does this affect instruction?Currently, all districts should be
implementing the eight Standards for Mathematical Practice in all grades K-12.
In addition: During the 2012-2013 school year, districts should align K-2 mathematics curriculum, instruction, and assessment to the Mathematics CAS.
Beginning with the 2013-2014 school year, districts should align all K-12 mathematics curriculum, instruction, and assessments to the Mathematics CAS.
