UPLOAD OF OPERATIONAL FILES
LTE FOR TRANSPORTOur LTE solutions are designed to comply with the demanding requirements of mission critical environments, with availability
and safety being paramount. In particular, the LTE solution for Transport (LTE-R) can support various applications typical of the
environment, such as data transmission for rail signalling applications, real-time video surveillance, remote monitoring and
maintenance, remote management of the Passenger Information Systems and internet for passengers.
The LTE-R solution is based on our advanced multi-technology platform eNEBULA, next-generation infrastructure designed
specifically to support the requirements of professional users.
› Low latency, in connection establishment and in data transmission
› High data rates
› Improved spectral efficiency
› Availability of systems in licenced frequency bands below 1GHz, providing better coverage
› Simplified network architecture, base on Ethernet/IP (packet switching)
› Improvement in mobility performance
› Specific functionalities for professional mission critical communications, such as group calls, priority management and
emergencies, or direct mode calls
VOICETETRA provides group calls, broadcast calls, emergency calls, calls between trains, etc. for communication amongst drivers, stations,
depots, the control centre, passengers, and security and maintenance staff.
TETRA also allows integration with external communications networks (police, firefighters, etc.) for emergency coordination in
critical situations.
VITAL DATASignalling systems are responsible for assuring comfort, punctuality, availability and security in passenger and freight transportation,
driving efficient operation of the trains.
Our solutions optimise costs, providing an effective means of data transmission for applications such as the ETCS European
standard for railways, CBTC systems for underground or trams, or PTC systems.
CRITICAL DATACeCo-TRANS, our onboard equipment, is responsible for transmission of location information to the control centre. This allows the
display of each vehicle’s position within seconds on various types of maps and/or synoptic line displays.
Alarms and events – either within the onboard equipment or on other train subsystems – can also be monitored and managed.
In addition, the onboard equipment has auto-diagnostic functions, capable of integration with Passenger Information Systems,
which allow for real-time passenger information about next stops, arrival times and incidents, or reducing travelling and waiting
times.
VIDEO AND OTHER APPLICATIONSOur TETRA solutions for critical voice and data communication are complemented by a broadband radio access layer which
supports applications such as:
› Real-time video, allowing the control centre to monitor images taken within the trains
› Real-time video, to display images of the next station in the driver’s cabin as the train approaches
› File transfer between trains and the control centre
