Preface

It is our great honor and privilege to present the proceedings of the SecondInternational Conference on Machine Learning, Image Processing, Network Securityand Data Sciences (MIND 2020), organized by the National Institute of TechnologySilchar, India, and held during July 30–31, 2020. This conference is the second in aseries which focuses on Machine Learning, Image Processing, Network Security, andData Sciences. The papers included in these proceedings present original ideas andup-to-date discussions and directions regarding topics of interest of the conference.

MIND 2020 provided a platform to the researchers, practitioners, and technologiststo present and discuss state-of-the-art novelties, trends, issues, and challenges in thearea of Machine Learning, Image Processing, Network Security, and Data Sciences.Organization of this conference was primarily motivated by the need to promoteresearch through sharing of ideas, technology, and trends at all levels of the scientificand technical community. Another motivation was the need for a common platform forbuilding a framework for development of solutions to unresolved issues and challengesin different areas of computer engineering and engineering. This edition, continuing thespirit of the previous conference in this series, depicts the most important requirementsof the academia and industry: quality and value. This was substantiated by the 219high-quality submissions which posed a great challenge in the review and selectionprocess. Each submission was subjected to at least three reviews under a double-blindpeer review process mechanism. Based on the review results and recommendationsof the Program Committee, 83 papers were accepted for presentation at the mainconference. This resulted in an acceptance rate lower than 38%. Due to the COVID-19outbreak, the conference was organized in a virtual format instead of as an onsite event.Further, though initially the conference was planned to be organized duringApril 23–24, 2020, the outbreak compelled the organizers to postpone the conferencetill July 30–31, 2020.

Any event of this nature needs sufficient time, complete support, and wholeheartedcooperation and support of all, for success. We thank all the authors for submitting andpresenting their quality paper(s) to/at MIND 2020. We are extremely thankful to thereviewers, who have carried out the most important and critical part of any academicconference, the evaluation of each of the submitted papers assigned to them. We alsoexpress our gratitude to the TPC members for their immense support and motivation inmaking MIND 2020 a success. We sincerely thank all the chairs for their hard workwithout which the success of MIND 2020 would not have been possible.
