Introducing our story
“If you are trying to get information across to someone, your ability to create a compelling introduction
may be the single factor in the later success of your mission.”

“In my family, there was no discussion which university we would attend because it was assumed to be a state school. Thus, there was no talk about the college journey, major course of study, financial stewardship, and the like. Let’s just say it was ‘on-the-job-training’ and I didn’t always make the best decisions.”

“It took me a long time to get through college because I had to keep a full-time job while going to school. During a phone interview with one [college] admissions officer, he flat-out said there was no way I could attend school and keep a full-time job. I was heartbroken at the time, but it was for the best.”

“My high school guidance counselor walked with me through every step of the college application process. Four weeks before I was to start the school of my dreams, my father told me I couldn’t go because the family couldn’t afford it. The next day he took me to another school where I was admitted on the spot – starting classes there a few weeks later.”
“A relationship is a two-way street, not a highway and a bike path.”
