”From the moment we started Communispace, I knew that space mattered. As a start-up, we made the place our own by painting the walls and creating our own version of Fenway Park. It was so important in this move to continue to express what is unique and special about our company while at the same time say that we have arrived, we have grown up. I would say mission accomplished.”

- Diane HessanCEO at Communispace

At any given point, there is enough

conference space for every employee to be in a meeting at the same time.

5 quick facts you should know

Collaboration tools from Red Thread, such as media-scape + room wizards, allow employees to quickly communicate, collaborate, and share like never before.

technology is king

Pantries on each floor are food-themed, offering vending machines, microwaves and refrigerators to keep quick refreshments within reach.

food is love

A wide open floor plan and low panel desks keep all employees approachable and easily accessible. And the entire 83,000 sf is full of natural light!

we work in teams

Our wide variety of meeting spaces- from formal conference rooms to lounge areas with pantries- allow for a constant flow of communication + collaboration.

we’re very open

A secret committee assigns each new employee a celebrity “look alike” whose photo is then used on the employee’s name plate at each workstation.

we’re very playful

Each floor has two pantries, although coffee is only offered in Fenway to create a ‘hub’.

Photos of employees are featured in the reception area across a moving video wall, found below the company mission statement.

fenway park: Built from exposed brick walls, green iron-like columns and modified bleacher seating, this multipurpose space doubles as a cafeteria and hosts company wide meetings and conferences.

Coffee, along with employee food lockers, are only offered in Fenway to create a central ‘hub’ for socializing.

the design challenge

When it came time for us to move from Watertown to downtown Boston, the decision was not easy. Although the need for additional space was critical, the company loved the homemade originality of their existing workplace and was very concerned about keeping their ‘vibe’ – a cultural hallmark - intact.

The combination of architectural elements, interior design finishes, signage and graphics create a brand infused space where the corporate identity is not just a logo, but an integrated part of the physical space.

This open office environment is organized around centralized conference and meeting spaces as well as pantry and gathering zones that keep employees interacting and energized... just one visit and you will feel the buzz!
