A Visit to the Planetarium Cosmic Origins SpectrographThis show covers the Hubble Cosmic Origins Spectrograph (C.O.S.) instrument, the nature of light, spectroscopy, the use of quasars as background light sources, material identifi cation by spectrum, and the cycling of material within and surrounding galaxies. Ride along with a beam of light as it travels from a most distant quasar to the planet Earth.
