COMMUNITY COLLEGE OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS To qualify, students must: file and/or update their FAFSA annually to determine the extent of their need for scholarship funds at www.fafsa.ed.gov; be enrolled in the Biotechnology certificate (417.4) or degree (416.5) program, which prepares students for the workforce or successful transfer to schools such as the University of Pittsburgh, Chatham University and Point Park University; or be enrolled in the Teacher Education Middle Level & Secondary degree (099.4) program, which offers transfer opportunities to teacher certification programs at several schools, including La Roche College and California University of Pennsylvania; be enrolled in a minimum of 24 credits in an academic year (spring, summer or fall) during each year they receive scholarship funds; maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.80; attend Learning Community meetings; and have satisfactorily completed all developmental courses, with eligibility for MAT107/108 and ENG101. The BioMaS Scholarship covers: tuition and fees for up to 65 credits of CCAC credit courses; up to $450 for books for CCAC credit courses; additional cost-of-attendance items on an as-needed basis; and a paid internship for Biotechnology majors.
