Incentives: Cooperative efforts between the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce, the City of Killeen, the Killeen Economic Development Corporation (KEDC) and the Killeen Industrial Foundation (KIF) can provide a number of incentives for a firm wishing to locate here and especially one that wishes to locate in the Killeen Business Park. However, these incentives are worked out in negotiations between the interested business and the economic development agencies with the Killeen Economic Development Corporation (KEDC) as the initial contact. Some of the incentives which have been offered in the past include: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.JOB CREATION PAYMENTS TAX ABATEMENTS 380 Agreements ENTERPRISE ZONE TRAINING FAST-TRACK PERMITTINGAlthough all incentives do not apply to all companies, the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce, working with the other economic development agencies, tries to obtain all the benefits it can to assist a company locating here. A company must complete an Economic Data Sheet when applying for incentives. An Economic Impact Analysis will be conducted and results will be given to the KEDC board of directors for approval. All incentives are performance based and typically include, but are not limited to, the number of jobs created, capital investment and more. 26. Killeen Business Park: 27.
