The National Beta Club is an academic service and leadership organization that strives to ‘ead by serv- ing others.’ Each year, the club volunteers more than 1,200 hours of service to make the community a better place. Current student officers are: Anna Beck, Ansley Prosperi, Ansley Roberts, and Julia Hinson. The club is sponsored by Jessica Jones. On April 8, Jacquelyn Bailey, Title 1 Parent-Services coordinator invited Cathy of Cathy’s Eye Care to come to Creekside Elementary School to repair, adjust, and do whatever was needed to get students ready for the CRCT week. Because of the amount of reading that is required, it is very important for those students who wear glasses have the best vision possible when taking the CRCT. Cathy has been very instru- mental for years in donating her time and materials to make sure she has helped a child in the Baldwin County School System when it comes to their vision.
