This manual contains notices you have to observe in order to ensure your personal safety, as well as to prevent damage to property. Procedure1. Select the "Just Me" or "All Users" installation
– "Just Me": The installation will only be visible for the current userInstallation path: "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\COMOS\COMOS Walkinside 7.x"
– "All Users": The installation will be visible for all users that can log in to the systemThis installation requires administrator rightsInstallation path: "C:\Program Files\COMOS\COMOS Walkinside 7.x"

2.2 Product Choice
ProcedureSelect the product you wish to install:
● Standard Installation: Install the trial or purchased version of COMOS Walkinside
● "PreViewer Installation": With this option, you install the "PreViewer" version of COMOS Walkinside
● "License Server Installation": With this option, you install the license server for floating license management

2.4 Type of Installation
● "Standard Installation": With this option, the COMOS Walkinside 3D-Viewer is installed as standard and configuration of the "Builder" modules is simpler
● "Custom Installation": For advanced users

2.5 Select Converters in Standard Type Installation
Procedure
Select the exporters to be installed and click "Install"
Note
If the installation of a 3Ds Max, MicroStation or SolidWorks version is required, the option "Run as Administrator" must be selected
Note
The exporters for MicroStation and PDS are only available with the 32-bit installation.

2.6 Installation
As soon as the user clicks "Install", Walkinside is automatically installed in the pre-defined folder.

2.8 Select Modules to install in Custom Installation
Procedure1. Select the required modules from the list.
If necessary, the user can choose an installation path other than the default path for the installation.
2. Click "Install" to proceed with the installation.

If the installation of a 3Ds Max, MicroStation or SolidWorks version is required, the option "Run as Administrator" must be selected

Go to "Start menu\All Programs\COMOS\COMOS Walkinside 7.x \Uninstall"
Note
If it is necessary to remove a 3Ds Max, MicroStation or SolidWorks version, the "Run as Administrator" option must be selected

License Installation 5In general, a separate license is required for each workstation.
License folderThe license file must be copied to the "License" folder. This is located in the installation folder, which the user can get to via the following path: "Start menu\All Programs\COMOS\COMOS Walkinside 7.x\License\Folder"
Note
With an "All Users" installation, the administrator performing the license installation must copy the license before Walkinside is used by an end user.
