The purpose of this procedure is to re-route an open signal line using available sparewires in the cables already in the C-Arm. Read and understand the instructions beforeperforming this procedure.

1. Ohm out the ribbon cable inquestion to isolate the problem signal.

2. If the broken wire is in the ribbon cable from theB100 ST3 to the B212 ST1, use one of the sparewires in that cable to replace the defective wire.

3. If the broken wire is in the ribbon cable from theB100 ST4 to the Filter Board X3 you will need to useone of the wires in the unused ribbon cable. Follow steps4 through 9.

4. Disconnect the defective wire at X3 connection on theFilter Board end of the cable and at the ST4 connection onthe B100 board end of the cable.

5. Carefully peel back one of the wires in the spare ribbon cable at the monoblockend and install it in the X3 connector where the defective wire was removed (see A on sheet 3).

6. Carefully remove one of the spare wires (15-20) from the ST1 connectoron the B212 board.end of the ribbon cable between B212 ST1 and B100 ST3.(see B on sheet 3)

7. Connect the other end of the wire used in step 5 to the wire selected in step 6.This connection should be soldered and covered with heat shrink tubing..8. Disconnect the appropriate wire at the ST3 connector on the B100 board end andinstall it into the empty location on the B100 ST4 connector of the cable. (see C on sheet 3).

9. Ohm out the new signal path to ensure a good connection..

POWER ON1. B111 - relay K1 energizes when the "on" switch is pressed2. Power relay K1 then energizes allowing AC power to T1. This input current is limited by resistor R13. Approximately 70ms later the power relay K2 energizes which allows the input current to bypass the current limit resistor R1

POWER ON1. Relays K1 on both the C-arm and Workstation B111 boards energize when either the C-arm or Workstation "On Switch" is pressed.

2. Power relay K1 in the C-arm and power relay K3 in the Workstation then energize allowing AC power to the C-arm T1 and Workstation T1. The initial input current is limited by R1 in both the C-arm and Workstation. 3. Approximately 70ms later the power relays K2 in both the C-arm and Workstation energize, allowing the input current to bypass the current limit resistor R1.

POWER OFF1. Relays K1 on both the C-arm and Workstation B111 boards de-energize when either the C-arm or Workstation "Off Switch" is pressed. 2. Power relay K1 in the C-arm and power relay K3 in the Workstation then de-energize shutting off AC power to both the C-arm and Workstation T1 transformers.

This signal goes true with one of the following conditions, preventing exposure.1. Temperature >70 degrees C (Temp Sensor & B43)2. UH (Filament Voltage) is too low (0 - 5 VDC) (B143, B40 & B43)

To determine if you have a "Over Temperature or "Low Filament Voltage" fault, monitor U2 pins 2 & 3on the B43 board as follows:

U2-3 logic Low = Over Temperature FaultU2-2 logic Low = Low Filament Voltage

TRIGIN = enables the image processor.

TRIGOUT = from the image processor stays active, enabling exposure, for 640 msec after the xray switch is released. This ensures sufficient time to for last image hold. The timer U14 on the B100 board terminates exposure after 2 seconds if the TRIGOUT does not terminate after the 640 msec time period.
