Steno Symposium 2015

"Personalised medicine in diabetes care"

The first day of this conference will feature invited

presentations and new results from the DEXLIFE project

on mechanisms of prevention of type 2 diabetes by

lifestyle intervention in subjects with pre-diabetes or at

high risk for progression. Days 2 and 3 will feature

presentations from leading international experts in this

field, including researchers from Steno’s own research

network.

This conference will allocate time for a guided visit to

the Steno Diabetes Center.

Planned topics will include personalised medicine,

covering:

- Sub-phenotypes of diabetes – and the clinical

implications of these new classifications

- Prevention of type 2 diabetes in high-risk individuals

- Targeting insulin resistance in diabetes care

- Ethnicity in relation to risk and treatment of diabetes

- Health-economics in diabetes prevention
