On Oct 3, 2003, Hu Jintao, General Secretary of CPC and President of PRC, visited Sany. In a workshop, the President spoke highly of Sany for its achievements and gave his best wishes for its development. Before departure, President Hu said to the Chairman, “Your achievements so far have been brilliant. I hope that the company achieves even more with concerted efforts!”

The signing ceremony of the investment agreement between Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd and Nordrhein-westfalen of Germany was held in Germany on January 29, 2009. According to the agreement, Sany will invest EUR100 million to build an R&D and manufacturing base in Bedburg, Nordrhein-westfalen of Germany, which is the biggest investment made by a Chinese company in Europe to date. Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and German Chancellor Angela Merkel presented at the ceremony.

Sany came into being in 1989 as a small welding material factory. Its founders are Liang Wengen, Tang Xiuguo, Mao Zhongwu and Yuan Jinhua. Today the company has grown into a global corporation with 4 industrial parks in China, 4 R&D and manufactur-ing bases outside China: in America, Germany, India and Brazil, and 24 sales companies around the world. Currently, over 56,000 people are working for Sany in more than 120 countries.

A Crawler Crane with a lifting capacity of over 1250 tons was independently developed by Shanghai Sany Science and Technology Co., Ltd. It is has the largest lifting capacity in Asia.

Sany SY2000, the first 200-metric-ton excavator in China, made Sany one of the top 5 manufacturers in the world with ability to produce excava-tors of over 200 tons.

In November, 2009, the first hybrid excavator in China was developed by Sany Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd.

The 1000-ton truck crane, the largest truck crane in China, was developed by Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd.

The rollout of first Sany Station-ary Concrete Pump ended the history of China’s entire depen-dence on imported stationary concrete pumps.

Sany successfully developed the first 121.4 ft (37m) Truck-mounted Concrete Pump in its Changsha Industrial Park.

Sany demonstrated to the world the first fully Hydraulic Motor Grader with steering function.

The first Sany Asphalt Paver marked a new milestone in road construction machinery technol-ogy in China.

The three-gradation Stationary Concrete Pump developed by Sany redefined advanced construction technology.

A 60-ton Horizontal Directional Drill was launched in Beijing, China, which was the largest of its kind in Asia.

Sany’s Cold Planner represented a breakthrough in road construc-tion technology in China.

Sany successfully entered the harbor machinery market with its RSC45-5M Container Reach Stacker.

Sany Bitumen-Cement Mortar Semitrailer appeared at the jobsite of the Beijing-Tianjin high-speed railway project in China, ending the history of the use of imported machinery in Bitumen cement placement projects in China.

In the construction of the Shang-hai World Financial Center, Sany’s Stationary Concrete Pump made a world record with a vertical concrete pumping height of 1,614.2ft (492m).

Sany’s 217ft (66m) Truck-mounted Concrete Pump, with 15 core technologies and setting a new Guinness World Record in boom length, was officially launched.

The launch of SR360, the first large-tonnage Fully Hydraulic Rotary Drilling Rig in Asia made Sany Group one of the top pile-drving equipment manufac-turers in the world.

Construction of the 2009 World University Games Stadiums – Sany truck pumps played a key role.

�The Irkutsk-Khabarovsk Freeway, Russia.

Sany’s PQ190 ⅢA motor graders played an important role in repairing the residen-tial blocks and roads, Speyer Reinplatz, Germany.

Since the main body of Russian Federation Tower, 340m in height, was erected, the Tower became the highest building in

Europe. It also won the title of “the world’s tallest full-concrete-structure architecture”. In spite of the harsh ambient environ-

ment and temperatures as low as -25℃, Sany’s Trailer-mounted Concrete Pumps succeeded in pumping B90 vertically to

the top of the building.

All the Sany equipment successfully fulfilled their tasks. During the dam’s confluence, Sany truck pumps and trailer-mounted

concrete pumps worked for prolonged periods non-stop. The high quality and impressive performance of Sany’s products

From the start of Japan’s nuclear crisis ignited by a major earthquake earlier in 2011, the Japanese people’s determination

and the willpower have touched the whole world. On March 19th, after receiving a purchase order from Tokyo Electric Power

Company (TEPCO), Sany donated an SY5502THB 62B truck-mounted concrete pump to perform water injection at Fuku-

shima Nuclear Power Plant. After 8 days of transportation and preparation, the equipment started spraying water to the No.1

reactor on March 31st

SANY Rotary drilling rig undertook the construction of the third biggest Mosque of the world.

Since the outbreak of Japan’s nuclear crises in Fukushima nuclear power station, the determination and

the strong will of Japanese people have touched the whole world. Receiving the purchase order from

Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) on March 19th, SANY donated a truck-mounted concrete pump

SY5502THB 62B to support the water injection at Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant. The equipment

started to spray water to the No.1 reactor on March 31st after 8-day preparation.

This is another time Sany has joined international disaster relief work since its contribution to the 2010

rescue operation for trapped miners in Chile.
